Wait until you see the 5oz ! The 2013 one looks amazing. Desperate to find a 10oz!
I can only imagine how good the bigger versions look!
Sadly, although it might be a good thing in this instance, we don't have much in the way of coin shops or bullion dealers in Cyprus so I don't get to see one first hand 🙁
Good luck in your search

Why have you got to do this to us. 😫 its hard enough trying to reframe from buy all the 1oz in 1 go. Now you go and put the 5oz and 10oz out there.
What you said, buddy 😆
It's so easy to get carried away... And there are so many amazing pieces and series to collect... Stay strong! 💪🏽😁

I just bought a single 2013 Brittania that I found locally but now my ocd is in overdrive and I need to find another one to make 2... And that's not even taking into account the huge year gap between the 2020s and the 2013 🤦🏽♂️😆

Hi
The usual checks on weight, size, etc
However I am pretty confident this is not genuine from the photos posted.
Key areas of detail that look significantly off including the detail of some of the letters despite it being a worn coin.
There are sadly many many like this out there and the first warning sign is the less common varieties turning up in non-numismatic settings like antique fairs, eBay and antique shops.
Best

That's a bummer... But kind of expected
Thanks again for the advice
I'll check it over
Best regards

Hi
This is one of the low mintage Morgan year / Mint mark combinations (647k).
If it were genuine, it would be worth a reasonable amount of money.
But I think it is not genuine.

Hi,
Thanks for that.
That's what I've discovered as well and if I'm being honest that's also my concern.
How can I check to be sure?

Hi all,
I recently picked this up at an antique store here in Cyprus.
The owner was asking €45 for it, which I thought was a bit much but as its not something we get a lot of here, I bought it (he did give me a discount on some other coins so I figured that offset the price a little)
Having now done some basic research (googled it) it looks like this particular Morgan is worth a little bit more than I paid for it!
Does anyone know more that can advise / grade /value...
It's an 1888 with an S mint mark
Thanks

Hi everyone,
I've only recently started stacking and inadvertently started collecting. 🤦♂️
I've decided I'd like a 1oz silver brit from every year and have a few years already.
Does anyone know what they're actully worth and how hard they are to come by?
Also, of all the other years, are there any that are also rare or hard to come by?
Thanks for any of your help.
Hi,
I'm in exactly the same situation.
Started out with the intention to stack some silver but my inner collector decided to join the party so now I'm looking at a bunch of different series.
Bought two 2022 Brittanias and then picked up two 2021 and two 2020s so now I'm doing a date run in two's 🤦🏽♂️
As a begginer myself, I would say stick to established bullion traders and keep an eye out on here as things pop up at times.
Good luck with it 👍🏽

Hi all.
Does anyone know the lineup for the silver bullion Tudor Beasts? Is there even one?
I understand that the 1st silver bullion release is the Lion of England but the 1st proof was the Seymour Panther?! That makes no sense to me.
Any idea what's coming next?

I have finished my photo portfolio of all 250 bars.
If you want to see what each bar looks like, or a specific serial number then here is the place to look!
https://backyardbullion.com/1-oz-silver-forum-bars-2022/
It is actually a really useful feature to check that the bars are indeed the right ones when they come up for sale on the secondary market!
They look so good!

Only problem with that is a lot of times you have to pay alot to get back releases within a series. We all have that issue to deal with it we like collecting series.
Agreed.. . But I also enjoy the search and the sense of accomplishment when you finally get the pieces you're after

Complete noob question alert... Would you then refine the jewellery and extract the gold? What's the process / cost involved as I've considered this myself with both gold and silver jewellery. Is it worth it?

As a newcomer, I was wondering what would be a good series to collect on a budget.
I've picked up the Superman coin and waiting on the Aquaman coin in the Niue DC comics series. Only got Batman and Wonder Woman to find for now.
Was thinking about also doing the Marvel series but also like the look of Myths and Legends.

Welcome to the forum.
I've not been there before (Cyprus not YouTube)
There's got to be worse hobbies than collecting money 🤔
Thanks.
It's a great little island. Sun, sea, good food... 👌🏽
That's an awesome way of looking at it "collecting money" Love it! 😁

Hi, everyone.
Just thought I'd write and say hi.
My name is Stellios, I'm Cypriot but was born and raised in London, now living back in Cyprus and I'm a complete beginner to the whole silver and gold stacking/collecting/investing.
I've always liked coin collecting (I have a box full of coins from all over the world) and have known about more valuable/collectible coins to a degree but never really looked into it. The concept of stacking wasn't something I was even aware of!
To be perfectly honest, I can't really remember how I stumbled upon the first video on YouTube a few weeks ago, but one led to the other and before I knew it I was well and truly down the rabbit hole!
After watching several of Silver Dragons videos I decided to search for UK channels and came across Backyard Bullion and I've just been hooked!
And now I'm here!
I look forward to learning as much as I can while interacting with you lovely people and collecting/stacking some shiny metals.
Thanks for having me 😊

I'd love one of these! It would be an awesome way to mark the year I started on my silver collecting/stacking journey.
I've admired them on your YouTube channel as I've mass consumed your videos. Especially the beginners guides!
Please put my name down and if I could get no. 204 that would just be the icing on the cake as it's my birthday on the 20th of April!

Well, Dicker, I'm guessing that's not supposed to happen... 🤦🏽♂️
Having now checked it, every value is off... Weight, diameter, thickness
Lesson learned
Now, I'm off to have an interesting conversation with an antique shop owner
Wish me luck
😊
