I think it is a nice coin..and hopefully there will be a range of different  versions....we all have our own opinions on pride but posting photos of Rainbow kids programme from years ago shows that there is still a lot of prestigious- Anti gay views and still people who can't except the world is a different place.....shame on you for your anti gay views..but not unexpected as there are still so many anti LGBT+Q people who are stuck in the past and can't move on. That's your problem and to disrespect a coin that represents the LGBT+Q society.....well live with it and keep your stupid posts to yourself...my views and opinions and I don't care if it upsets some gay haters on here...get a life and welcome to the modern world.

The Mint now exists to produce commemorative coins - it celebrates historic achievements and events, of which this is undoubtedly one. 
I don't understand why you would be bemused by this one, more than any others.
Your original post clearly offended people, whether it was meant to or not, maybe this is what you should reflect on.

I finally got my 2 oz. silver James I from a vendor yesterday.  Takes a while to get to the U.S, plus delivery here is slow.  Coin is very nice.  I really like the 2 oz. version.  Comes in a nice box, too.

Yes they have come down now and nearer the rrp and I believe now it's because people won't purchase at inflated prices and wait until they come down.I was lucky to get a 2oz James for £200 recently and have know problems paying over the rrp to aquire the coin I want. Apologies to anyone that might feel 'Niggled' just say what I think.

I do agree that it would be better if the people who like coins, particularly commemoratives or those with aesthetic design appeal, could obtain them more efficiently and with more certainty, but this seems to be harder to achieve than it should.
On the other hand, the Royal Mint's recent success in producing coins which have proved to be hugely popular, and with restricted issue limits, has been laudable because they seem to have been doing something right, but this has new stimulated interest in follow-up issues, which in some cases, have only or mainly seen great demand because to the expectation of big, instant profits, mainly from opportunistic flippers.
You can't really blame the flippers for seizing the opportunity, and they do take a slight risk that their coins do not sell, or go down in price, although buying direct from the Mint means that some would return their coins for a refund. Heads they win, and tails they don't lose, which is not really a sustainable model in the long term.
Dealers and distibutors can and do get some discounts off some issues, but not all. Some dealers offer new coin issues at competitive prices, similar to the RM prices, while there are some, mainly smaller dealers, who are only interested if they can get eye-watering, rip-off prices. Small e-bay vendors are often the worst for this, but there must be some buyers who are dumb enough to pay these prices.
Some mints use a "Subscription" model for some of their new coin issues, and this seems to work quite well, although there will be many who dislike the system, probably because its almost guarantees there will be no quick profits to be made.
There appears to be no easy solution to all this.

I totally agree with the original poster. Gold is a much better and consistent preserver of wealth than silver.
I don't buy bullion silver, merely stack collectable numismatic silver as bullion. So needless to say, I pay plenty in premium.
If what I've bought even fetches 2/3 to 3/4 of what I paid for it, then I'm happy. Strange you think?
Well if I hadn't spent it on silver, I would have blown it on holidays, cars, clothes, food and drink and other consumer rubbish that I'm told I need, but actually probably don't in reality. Some great experiences and great memories sure, but what tangible things are there afterwards? A hangover, a larger waist and a few holiday snapshots?
When I look at my silver stack, I think well, the 1/4 to 1/3 value I lost in premium is the price I pay for the joy of ownership. The remaining value is still there and if they appreciate in value over the next few decades then I might break even or maybe even scrape a few cents profit. So I totally get where you're coming from and I'd state strongly, stick with gold.
Don't do what I do and stack Britannia groats, there's no money to be gained there! 😁

I want a bloody Henry VII 1 Oz silver coin lol. That was the ONLY denomination I wanted from this series, and thanks to a crappy queue number, I missed it.

So rang to cancel my order and just asked the guy to check for 5oz Henrys (was cancelling as could not get one at a reasonable price) and there are actually 9 in stock not showing on website.  So not only did I not cancel my James I kow have a Henry on order as well.  when will I learn <sigh?
