It is interesting that despite the accusations and veiled threats decent people on this forum are still prepared to give the OP
    1. the time of day
    2. invaluable advice
But I fear the big ego and desire to defend their position will result in lesson not learn't.

Yes, my account manager is getting on a bit, too! 😎
Are you serious about buying historic coins from the Royal Mint? ... or are you joining in with the humour? There is potentially much you could learn from TSF members if you cared to listen to them and think about their advice.
Have you ever thought about where the RM source their "Historic Coins"?

i would makes you aware the Royal Mint can be very expensive and over priced for their historic coins compared to what established dealers may charge, but you would know that already i presume with your due diligence, planning and research ?
Wouldn't want a second thread started on your RM Historic Account manager ripping you off, offering you coins overprice and not the original RRP
Once bitten twice shy and all that

I notice you did not challenge my points about the lack of knowledge in the UK jewellery trade, their high mark-ups, or my jewellery knowledge.
I am sure their are many other areas of the UK coin and bullion market which would provide richer pickings for a good investigative journalist, if any still exist. Much of our print and online media run regular "news" reports about "rare" 50 pences selling on ebay for megabucks.
Mentioning ebay also brings us to international markets where even more potential journalistic material is just waiting to be plucked.

This is really getting tiring Barry.
I will be muting this thread.
You seem to want to throw dirt at everyone and everything, without taking a shred of responsibility yourself. Until you do that, personally I can't take anything you say in any seriousness. Sometimes in life you need to put your big boy pants on.

Nice little collection of poured silver from @arshimo2012 many thanks. Including a lovely piece from @SilverAngelPouring and a couple of mini pitbullion bars that didn't  appear on the original sales listing, possibly to make the weight up? Very pleased.

Platinum is a speculative asset not unlike silver. But unlike silver it is severely undervalued at the moment. There is a not too small chance that platinum (once the most valuable of the classic precious metals) will rise to it's former value again. This made me put away an ounce or two. Of course VAT hurts.
