The petition crown was a weird release because on the secondary market you know nobody's buying those big golds unless they are pr70 however slabbing it defeats the actual point of the coin and the very cool mint presentation box.
 I do think the great engravers is done from a flipping/profit side which some may see as a good thing that they will go to true collectors. However the flip side is will true collectors want a reproduction of something they can actually get?
 Una and the lion was unobtainable unless your pronouns were sheik/your highness so a reproduction made sense however as we get in to coins like gothic crown etc. If you can afford the big gold ones you can afford an original so it removes that raison d'etre.

If youre not buying at highs you're not doing it right. I speak from experience
the weird thing is even at ATHs in prices
I've picked up some lovely heavy gold bits the past year at much lower prices than when COVID bounce back furlough funny money was floating around society and spot was a lot lower.
When folk NEED to sell and can't find a buyer there are bargains to be had if you have the fiat and courage of your convictions it will work out well in the years to come. IE Those holding memorial five sov proofs in pf70 will be well rewarded next decade I've no doubt of

 I honestly don't get it. The other great engravers made sense to me as they are tributes to classic coins you rarely see and i loved the first few. 
 But if I want this design  I can just buy a soverign 

In my initial excitement I hadn’t really given too much thought to this.
Good question though: why buy this coin, especially in gold, if you can get the design pretty easily at fractions of the price?
I think it is all going to come down to the mintage.

Oh it's an iconic design I agree and if they had stopped using it in years past I'd have said there's an argument it should have been the first great engraver coin. I just can't get past the fact that to all intents and purposes it's just a modern coin I can still buy
 

My thinking I can buy a 2oz big sovereign. Well it's not really a five sovereign.

were there not trial pieces or none accepted sovereign designs that made it to trial but not to official?!

It's as good a price as your going to see anywhere. 
 The whole marketplace is pretty dead and has been for a few months, I've really noticed it. I think that people really don't have a ton of spare money to buy just now.
 Maybe some new members thinking it's suspicious that someone is selling 10 of these at spot all at once? If that's the case check feedback on the profile page, the guys a very good seller
