There is some dust on the capsule, but it's a clean strike, nothing wrong...with the only potential problem can be milk spots appearing in the future but it looks good right now so hopefully the Morgan will arrive in the same condition and grade an easy 70. The coin capsule had come out of place but no damage to the coin.

It's really crazy that they are minting 400k for each one of these & 275k for the reverse proof sets
Any other proofs from other world mints are around what, 1,000-2,000?  Reverse proof sets are usually around 500.
Just crazy that the demand is that high to justify a 400k mintage on a proof
Makes my other proofs & reverse proofs that much more special knowing their mintage is 2,000 or less

I received my tracking #'s today for the Peace & Morgan proofs.  I just got 1 of each.  Really pumped to add these to my collection.  I don't have either in any variation, so these proofs are going to be a great addition to my coin collection.
I'll probably cancel my subscription for next year.  I only need 1 of each for the first year of release and I'm good.

thegreywizard got a reaction from Libelle in Germania Mint silver Proofs
I think the Germania silver Proofs are some of the nicest coins out there.  Even though it's a private mint, it's one of the only few private mints I definitely want in my collection.
I want to pickup one of their silver Proofs, but I'd really prefer to wait & get a Reverse Proof set.
Does anyone know if they have one planned for 2023?
I know a lot of 2023 offerings are starting to get announced now, so hoping Germania is one of them.
If not I may just pick one of their Germania Proofs up and keep my fingers crossed for a RP set in 2024.

I emailed the guy I've been in contact with over the last year and he emailed back really fast.
Said the website broke for a week but they worked hard and got it back up.
He also said there were a couple of hiccups with 2 of the minis and that they had responded to all emails and calls.
So if you are still having problems I would contact them through their website and you'll get a response.

Hope this helps the couple of people having issues.

The same thing happened to me over an hour ago.  Unavailable then available again.  Not sure how the RM works.  But, then again, is anyone??

TCM is legit and I've ordered many pieces from them.  Just shoot them an email to get an update.  Might be going out in batches?

Ah yeah I will pick up a Maple Proof and Reverse Proof for sure too.
There was some ultra limited set that came out this year, but I think it's more expensive than the Libertads now lol

Ok thanks for the heads up on a target date!
I want to make sure I track this so I get one before they sell out.  If I can get in que in time.  I imagine the first set of King's Reverse Proofs will sell out extremely quickly.
LOL @ QC, I know there are so many problems with the RM.  I actually got lucky and bought, from what I can tell, a pretty flawless 2022 Britannia reverse proof set off of ebay a couple of months ago.

I ordered my 2022 set on the 8th March 2022 - that would have been pretty much when they were first available. From memory it then took around 3 months to be delivered.
The two coin sets sell out pretty quickly so i see no reason for the mint not to produce them next year.
The 2023 dated Britannias that are currently available are all 'bullion' and bear no relation to the proof coins (except perhaps, they probably share the same quality control department).

Jumping in this topic.  Luckily I'm in the game now and have subscriptions for all 3 Proofs.

I missed out on the centennial 2021 uncirculated versions, but I'm very happy to have all 3 of the first Proof options.
Proofs are my area of interest anyways, so this worked out better for me overall.

I do actually fully agree with you that if the US Mint describes and markets these as "Silver Sets", then they should be silver, and that should apply to all the coins.
Part of the reason may be the US Mint has a monopoly, in the USA at least, and if these almost silver sets sell, why bother doing the job right?
There is a similar thought in the UK, and lots of grumbles about our Royal Mint, its quality control, and more. For me their biggest shortsightedness is making our gold sovereigns a red colour instead of a nice yellow colour. Now if they had some competition, things might change!

lol nice answer and a little history lesson
I'm ok with regular, in-circulation nickels being made of a nickel blend, but for a 99.9% silver proof set, I would expect them to upgrade the base metal to silver as well.  These sets are supposed to be the best of the best.  Just seems silly to not go the extra mile and give us all silver.  The price difference would be negligible and can be baked in the cost and no one would care.
I would take a silver penny or a pure copper penny to be honest.  I think having a 100% pure copper penny would be cool.  But hey if they want to ever press out 99.9% silver pennies for these silver proof sets, I'd be all for it!

There is a clue in the name by which you Americans call your 5 cent piece - a "nickel".
Guess why a nickel is called a nickel.
When first issued in 1866, it was made of nickel, although more accurately it was cupro-nickel.
It may be better to put your question to the US Mint, it would be interesting to hear their answer, if any.
    Their "specifications" say:
SPECIFICATIONS Denomination: Penny Nickel Dime Quarters (each) Half Dollar Native American $1 Coin Composition: 2.5% copper, balance, zinc 25% nickel, balance, copper 99.9% silver 99.9% silver 99.9% silver 6% zinc, 3.5% manganese, 2% nickel, balance copper Weight/Silver Fine Weight: 2.500 grams 5.000 grams 0.079 troy oz.  0.199 troy oz. 0.399 troy oz.  8.100

    Francisco
    – S So while you are at it, you should be asking why the cent is not made of silver, instead of 2.5% copper, balance, zinc.
And also why they call it a penny, when it is a cent. You guys had a revolution about 250 years ago to get rid of us Brits, and stop using the penny.
Not only, but also... You should ask why the dollar is not a silver dollar, but is made of 6% zinc, 3.5% manganese, 2% nickel, balance copper.
Why should they a pure copper penny? They have not made copper cents since 1857.
In any case, make your mind up. do you want these pure copper pennies to be made of silver, or not?
    😎
