Has anyone grabbed one of the New Zealand Mint's silver foils featuring the map of Middle Earth from LOTR and The Hobbit?

Today I received one of the limited edition cards from Revolut.  It is a metal card weighing approx 18g and is gold plated on the top.  The underside where the car details are printed is plastic.
Since the card is only plated it has zero intrinsic value.  The only reason I purchase it was just for the novelty purpose since I have an interest in gold and this was something of a novelty.  I already have a couple of metal cards and it was the gold aspect which I was interested in.  I do not plan on using the card at all and I will keep the card frozen on the app to prevent use should anyone somehow manage to obtain the card details.  As a daily use card it isn't worth paying for since it doesn't do anything different from a standard plastic card and this card comes at a premium.
I've place it in a plastic sleeve to protect it and will put it away somewhere.  Not sure where yet.  I might store it with my certicard stuff.  Maybe in the future my great grand kids will laugh at how our generation carried around cards.

I could hardly believe it when I heard his call for people to sell gold earlier this year.  (Although putting my cynical hat on,  I could easily believe it).
Holding, for example, a global equity tracker fund, or even a S&P 500 tracker for the USA would have helped preserve anybody's saving in Turkish Lire terms.  But gold deserves a place in everyone's long term wealth preservation strategy.

Sad for the great country and people of Turkey. Hope folks there stacked gold/silver before SHTF.

Earlier in the year Erdogan asked citizens to sell gold to support the Turkish Lire.
Turkey has cut rates sharply over the last three months which (as the Turkish people know all too well) will ramp up inflation which has long been an enemy of the Turkish people.   To be able to cut rates he fired treasury officials who wanted to follow a policy of defending the Lire.
Yesterday, Erdogan commented that Turkey is “fighting an economic war of independence” and crashed the Lire by 15 percent.  This brings the decline of the Lire to around 40 percent this year against most currencies.  
Turkey currently has an inflation rate of 20pct, and that’s only going to go up….  
I can see few better examples of why citizens of any country should hold gold.
