If it stands out like a sore thumb to the naked eye when wibbled about in the light, then yes I'd ask for a replacement.

Thanks for the reply, I will no doubt sleep on it and decide in the coming days 👍

  2. Hi All,

    Hope you are all well.

Just had my sovereigns delivered, can't decide if this is worthy of a replacement? (See attached pics)

From looking at this with the naked eye, seems like missing frosting on the cheeks and some around the hair on King Charles (At different angles). I believe can just make them out in the pictures.

Design looks really busy as others has said, first thoughts are that the platinum jubilee ones are nicer, what you think?

Thanks for your advice in advance.

My five & four coin set - showing as dispatched ! :)

No tracking info or dispatched email as yet - hopefully to follow by the end of today

Moved from "open orders" to "closed orders"

Not to be a **** and sounding negative because I really want you to have the coins, but did you order more than the restricted amount from your account? I think this might be the RM way of cancellation, dispatch and order went straight to closed order after a few minutes.

This happened to me with the SOTD sovereign.

Hope this is not the case.

I'm sure you meant 5 coin set, and I agree, the 5-coin set RRP was GBP4795 to my recollection.

For random reference, a 2022 4-coin set all graded straight PF70s just sold for $2520 (incl BP) @ HA (would've fx'd to about GBP2170 at end of Oct).

Yes sorry, meant 5 coin set, updated post, thanks for letting me know.

Been doing some paper workings out and random number crunching and brain droppings in light of Tuesdays launch and drawing some comparisons, so thought i'd share them

Sorry Paul to throw spanner in your works, (not too much though), I also did some digging by looking back and and I think the 5 set coin at first rrp was £4795 not £4920. Percent increase to price for new 5 set is 16.68%, not the 13.71% in my spreadsheet. So it looks like the 4 coin set has less of a increase than the 5 coin set. Thanks for your number crunching

In 2009, we bought 500 x proof quarter sovereigns direct from the RM.

They were a slight bargain at the time, being only about 10% more expensive than the bullion version.

I just discovered we sold our last one of them about a month ago!

    😎

Sounds like you need a new sales team if it took them 13 years to sell 500 😎, just kidding.

Tbf margin must of been very good considering spot price increased🤣👍

The prices weren't that high, I'm pretty sure the 3 coin was in the 900's. Will have to dig out the invoices to check.

Yeah you are correct, I took this screenshot after the 1st hike.

    Edit, prices above

Just got this email too - I am wondering if a 2023 sovereign is round the corner or if this is in its place?

I have no doubt there will be a 2023 sovereign. But for this release, I was working and talked myself out of getting the 2023 sovereign but as its dated 2022 I feel its a must buy now considering I got the Queens ones. 😭

    Many thanks for this.

Can't seem to find a price/ value for this at the moment, will do more searching. 👍

I posted a similar one a few days ago, had it made into a bracelet.  Not sure how you would verify its age but they certainly existed.

Do you have a link or images please?
