A generous grade I think given the wear on the reverse but won for a decent price so I am not too worried 🤷‍♂️

Thanks to @Coverte for mentioning this some time back and @katyc for reminding me, scratched an itch that was an half filled sovereign tube of Coronation Sov’s. These are going into storage now but I’ll probably have to create some room as space limited 😕
More importantly keep my Silver Kookaburra date run going 🙂

Well I missed out on the gold ones so I decided to grab the silver proof versions for now until the shiny yellow ones present themselves to me. 🙂

1757 George II Sixpence. I was in Whitstable, Kent, today. I bought this coin in a brick-a-brac / antiques shop. It was marked up as a Shilling but I weighed and measured it when I got home, and it turned out to be a sixpence! 🤔

Thought I would buy one, not sure on it yet. What are your thoughts?

The final design of the UK round pound series is also my personal favourite.
I find it extraordinary that those with sway at the Royal Mint have, as yet, never seen fit to use this reverse for a sovereign.

I really do feel that I must add what a splendid looking coin this is, great pics and a great price too.
Not sure you could get this for this price cheaper anywhere else, obviously, you should not just be llooking to get the best price, it ofcourse is not the only factor, but this seems like a really good price for a really beautiful coin.
