I did - traded gold sovs for a bunch of silver when the ratio went over 100:1 and then a few months later traded much of that silver back for gold at around 70:1
I probably ended up 3-4 sovereigns (or gold equivalent) better off.

I remember selling some BTC a while back during an extended black / power outage in Sydney to raise some $ to buy something......oh that's right, it was gold I sold. Silly me, no internet connection but local dealer open and paid cash for oz's. 🤪

Indeed, can never be to careful. 

Buy a safe. Keep at home. Trust no one. Invest in a defensive dog and a clay pigeon shooting shotgun. That’s my strategy. Not that I own any pm personally, I used to, until I lost it on a mad, drunken boating accident. Now I own not a thing.

Governments don’t really care about gold. I have friends in the civil service, relatively highly placed and I can assure you gold is never mentioned.

Eagles sell really quickly. I’d buy a tube off you. Pm me if you fancy selling some 👍

I'd be pooing my pants the whole way back. Probably hide some low level drugs in an obvious place so they think that's what I'm hiding and just let me go.
