I love how people here are dropping 5k+ on coins when they don't even know what they look like yet 🤣

I know, they are damaged coins now, but my son loves experiments, especially since he got chemistry lessons in school. So i took two of my many milkspotted completers of my stack and wanted to show him, how reactive silver is and give this coins a "rainbow" toning. Not possible, to show all the colors you can see from different directions now, it looks more like a blue/purple/orange/gold/red Opal, than like a rainbow. After 30 minutes in a Tupper with an egg, the milkspot on the greyhounds nose still visible, so we will not get rid of them in hundred years. But the coins reacted very different. And no, i don't like selfmade "rainbow patina".

Overall the KCIII obverse is dignified with or without a crown. Compare it with the odd looking crown of the Jubilee Victoria 1887. One thing’s for sure, he always has the best interests of his family at heart, and supporting the Russo-Ukrainian war….!
 

The EIC Masterpiece collection is fantastic. The Una is absolute stunning, portrait, arms and 3G also great. The graces could have more relief, looking a little bit flat. And the milk spot on the 3G is propably also a homage to the RM coin.
First it was just an alternative to the Engravers, because I missed Una. But now I like the EIC Masterpiece a lot and will continue. And the St. George issue looks to be like a holy handgrenade, I always wanted to have. I'm truly thinking about burning a lot of nice colored paper for a 1 Kilo antique finished coin, must look crazy with a 100mm diameter. The details looks to be amazing on this one.

Vintage Jelenko fractional bars. It’s a beautiful set in fantastic condition. A very interesting piece for me, that appears to have a bit of scarcity about it, as I can’t see many around. Will certainly appreciate it.

2 more 1/10 oz platinum Britannias for the recently started platinum stack. Think platinum has a lot of upside potential given it's more rare than gold and rather cheap compared to a few years ago.

2022 1/2 Sovereign 

Today I received HISTORY embodied in 3 silver roman denarius spanning the reign of severus septimus. Th first coin with his wife Julia , the second with his eldest son Caracalla and the last with his younger son Geta who was murdered by Caracalla in the arms of their mother, Julia.
Holding these coins just feeds your imagination. Who owned them?, who earned them and how were they earned ?, what have they bought ? How many times were they lost or won on the throw of a dice ,a chariot race or a gladiatorial fight? Have they travelled with a legion or been through the odd brothel? Have they bought a slave or freed one? How many times did they get someone drunk?
Owning these coins now means I have a lot to live up to in adding to their rich history but I'm going to give it my best shot. 👌 

10% over spot? so £22.45 atm.... wow! such an amazing deal i think i'll cash in my stack...... NOT!!!!!!
