Today I received these from @Johnboysilver

Just a brief note of introduction from the very hot southern coast of Portugal. Retired here a few years ago, and fed up with our safe modest investments having a negative return after inflation. 
Going through the motions of trying to cram information about what is for me a new area of interest. Not looking for a quick buck, more of a tangible something of value to pass on when the time comes.
Just about ready to dip the toes in and order up a couple of Britannias.
Looking forward to perusing the posts and learning more.

Lol I'm sure it's not just the phone. I have the latest Samsung S22 (over £800 to buy) and I haven't been able to take images that good. You do yourself an injustice - you've definitely got photography skills whether you realise it or not - that I'm sure of 😉

Three of these little beauties arrived Saturday.  I'll post more photos later, but I'm experimenting with my camera set-up.

Definitely the phone. Some cheap Chinese brand Redmi I think. Apparently 150 quid is cheap for a smartphone these days 😬 Could have done 150 mile in the car for that

Yeah, the details are great on these and a combination of the right camera angles and lighting can really make them pop. The proof versions of the Tudor beasts have a highly polished mirrored background and the lion is frosted to make them stand out. The bullion version has a holographic background and the lion is not frosted. Same with the queen's beasts but the background on the bullion is more of a chain mesh design rather than holographic on those. Hopefully this helps you to distinguish the difference between them.

Hey @Mtaybar thanks for the response. I wasn't sure if it was a proof or bullion. It looks really detailed, the close up images really showcase the coin in all its glory.

Agreed... beautiful coin but no, It's a bullion strike of the Tudor beast lion of England.

That's exactly the point. If the thread is public and sensitive or personal information is posted here,  like an address where you just received precious metals, then anyone can see it. So that would mean a potential burglar could potentially target you.
