Only took them an hour I guess, thankfully took far longer on the 5g bars :)

I hope that's "no longer available" because they messed up rather than 500 unsuspecting people bought them at that price.

I have reached out to my contact at the press office for some clarification

I suspect someone called them as a chap put it on Facebook in one of the pm groups,

I did try and pm you but could not get the message to select your name, looks like they were quick enough to avoid another royally screwed video this time 😆

Oh don't worry, I have screenshots 😜

Probably won't make a video on it though. Mistakes happen, but how they happen at an organization like this is beyond me

Didnt you know, it's Friday blinis and caviar at the RM until 11. Probably an intern left in charge to push the go live button!

Confirmed by the press office it was a listing error.

Listing taken off sale and is being looked at.

On a positive note I actually like the design this year, I will be sure to pick a 1/4oz proof up in a few months for about £450 :)

It's not the worst britannia design, I will give them that.

But....

I don't like it enough to even buy it for £450 at a later date!

Actually a better price that the 1/4oz on its own I suppose

They have the 1/4oz at £750
Using the same gram price that makes the 1/10oz £300 and the 1/20oz £150

So £1200 total.  Meh, still a massive con

Is it just me or is this the most bloody awful interpretation of Britannia?

Britannia, the female personification of the British Isles, has featured on every printed Bank of England note. This is the earliest example in our collection. She holds a shield and olive branch and watches over a 'bank of money', symbolising the wealth of the nation.

(Thanks to Google.)

looks like a gay Roman centurion about to lick an ice cream!  Wokeism gone wrong or what? and this on International Womens Day. Royal Mint and Marie-Alice Harel lost the plot and should be ashamed of themselves!

I try to buy gold with my head and silver with my heart, sometimes..........I just get it wrong!

Related question - does anyone know what year they stopped doing 1/10oz proof Britannia on their own, maybe @Brit2023 or @BritStacker?

Thanks
