Just a thought but didn’t money replace barter some time ago? Why not sell some silver and then buy some gold?

no need to be nervous about what you have, there will be plenty on here who could build a house with silver bars and put gold window frames in

It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.

Heres an Idea for you matey,

sell your individual silver on here, build good feedback and use the funds to buy gold that you deem a good deal building more feedback..... great way to engage with the forum

I will take some pictures of what I have as it seems that is more helpful (I just get nervous advertising what I have so freely) as not sure I have 3 tubes of Brits, do have 10oz bars though.

Pics will come tomorrow

Nerves are understandable but you’re amongst a decent bunch on here and many of these guys/girls have monster stacks so I wouldn’t worry at all about divulging which pieces you have for sale/trade. Let me know tomorrow, what tubes are available and we can go from there 👍🏼

Nothing personal mate but silver has not done anything for years and personally I can't see it doing much and not sure why a pacman silver / star wars silver / would be worth 35 an ounce etc

If it do go to the moon ! As said before who the hell is going to buy it

Say 40 quid an ounce making a kilo 1280 at spot with the inevitable hard bumming to follow

No offence taken,  just joking around

But

I think the same about gold, there is no future growth for gold ( my opinion) but plenty of potential for silver.

Gold has done even less over the last 5 years

I'm just here hoping my money retains its value, or appreciates somewhat. Hoping for either asset to moon isn't very productive, there are better investments for higher % returns. So I don't believe that silver should be avoided "because it's not going to moon" both will likely hold their value better than fiat.

@burns718 what I didn't mention and why @Gordy'Gordy's advice would be beneficial, you may have a whole load of premium/collectable bars and coins, if that turns out to be the case, then ignore my numbers and sell your silver for it's fair premium. Then you can buy gold with the income.

The most salient posts here. Just sell and then buy. Keep it simple.
