Won an auction on eBay.
10 minutes later it was cancelled? 🤔

What do others think. The response was “cancelled due to damage”. 🤔

Anyone know the seller?
How can you cancel 10 minutes after you auctioned it...

Didn’t get enough and so cancelled me? What do others think. The response was “cancelled due to damage”. 🤔

They never received the price they wanted so just cancelled .  A more worrying thought, someone who cancels now has your address and they  know what you collect. I always use my work address and simply never buy from people with little or no  feedback .

That's the same seller I was referring to in a different thread. A seller from Blackburn sold a gold proof Queens Beasts completer. This seller, also from Blackburn listed the same coin the next day.

I suspect they are the one and the same seller and something dodgy is going on. I would steer clear.

Yea, I had similar a few weeks back. Went for a 'buy it now' on a 2017 raw proof Sov at £700. Woke up to find I'd been refunded with the below excuse. Why list at £700 if you're not happy with the price!

Think its just Ebay shenanigans and par for the course :(

This is likely people seeing the price the coins go for at dealers, auctions and generally , not realising that only sellers with a long standing good reputation get the best prices.

A Random Ebay seller who has low feedback and does not normally deal in coins is not going to get the best price. This does mean bargains can be available but you have to be sure you can assess accurately what you purchased and be prepared to send back anything that is inaccurate.

I second this. Likely didn't get the £££s they wanted due to a lack of reputation so cancelled instead of shipping the coin

I saw this today and wondered how it went so cheap... Then I wondered whether seller would honour the agreement.

Agree that he didn't get his price due to low seller profile. Was worth a punt and nothing lost I guess...

Ah I see, feedback of 3.
