Ordered some Monday,got them today.😎

Very well presented, you would be impressed if someone gave you one as a present.

Not sure how often you receive presents that are worth 400+ euros.

I would be impressed with any present of such value.

Never got one of that value but if I could afford it I'd like to think I could give it a grand child in the future for a 21st birthday present, like I said if I could afford it.(That's if I ever have a 21 year old grand child)

Hi folks I ordered two €50 100 Anniversary of the Proclamation of the Irish Republic gold coins last Monday 8/6/2020 and was quite surprised when I got delivery I hour ago. The booklet enclosed relates to a short history of the Irish struggle for freedom is numbered 4954 which I take there are 506 gold coins remaining.  Hope this will allay any fears one might have. Fabulous coin and presentation think ill order some more.

I got a few... some are around 4800

And around 5250

I'd say it's just a case of picking off a pile.

Hi , joined to say very many thanks to The Ape for pointing out these now sold out bargains
Bought my first sovereigns in 1965 and have rarely seen such a buy as these

I also echo the above and also thank the thread starter of this thread.

I suspect that someone at the mint finally noticed they're selling below melt and pulled the plug.... too bad.

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary. - H.L. Mencken

I think they would have stopped it after the first few days of high volume selling.

My guess is they are really out of stock, as there are a lot of forum members that bought multiple coins.

only bought 6 of them, as I was hoping for a drop in spot price. I wanted to get a 2020 1oz britannia at around the same price as 4 of these, but no such luck.

Until Tuesday, when I finally pulled the trigger on them, I was checking multiple times a day that there were at least 100 in stock... just to not miss out :)

Let's just hope they arrive :D

Yikes went back as was considering buying more given spot movement, but saw they were all gone! After selling only about 50-70 in like 2 weeks after the deal was spotted to over 300 going mega rapid!

Great deal, I hope I don’t regret not buying more 🤣

Oh no,I was going to buy more.

I should have said nothing to you guys😂.

Either they removed or someone bought 150.

I'd say a big player hoovered up the lot..

I wonder if we'll see them pop up on a dealer site sometime soon. I imagine it would be a simple choice to buy them out for a big dealer and resell at a 10%-20% margin most likely.

Ah well, was good while it lasted! 😄

They've managed to get the weight wrong in their listing, so probably not on this forum 🤣

Don't you just love the shite people come out with in their eBay listing descriptions.

"Undoubtedly the most sought after coin produced by the Irish Central Bank"

Yeh alright pal - that's why it was on sale for 4 years after the release date.

They're probably a member on this forum and are leaning on the 'popularity' it briefly had in here because of the great price.

Maybe so but it’s disingenuous.

Thats the joy of eBay though I suppose.
