Sunday was my first coin cabinet auction, I discovered it by chance on the forum. Unfortunately I was outbid on three coins, never mind, I'll be back.

Agreed Canadian coins are terrible for spotting, nearly as bad as Brits.

I thougth the Canadians ended the milk spots back in 2017 or 2018  mint dates to current date? No ...?

Could be correct. I had bunch of them years back and they were terrible, stayed away from them since.

Yeah from 2018 all coins were treated with MintShield protection which is meant to reduce/stop milking. More info at:

Be interesting to see what this coin is. The RCM frankly produces far too many coins with far too many gimicks though some are nice and worth while.

If you search on Google "canadian goose coin 2020" a page from coin invest shows that suggests it's a 2oz coin. Clicking the link takes you main search page for now.

Any silver bullion coins from the Royal Canadian Mint from 2017 and earlier are prone to spotting. From 2018 onwards they started adding a surface protection to end this

thanks for your answer !!....so aiming for 100K => means there is no limit on the production side, but 'hoping' to reach 100K coins sold....is that how I should read your answer ?

the coin looks really beautiful but.... I'm afraid of the milk spots even if they will protect the coin with the protection shield... otherwise it is really really beautiful.
