Guess so. Would be nice though if they could add the number into the full description though (not the one you’ll get) but just advise “8 of these coins were used during the trial” or something to that effect

They've only just managed to say that they're facsimile signatures instead of handwritten ones, give them a while 🤣

I've posted this in the Silver Deals thread (appreciate this one is for Gold), but thought it was brilliant - silver bars (various sizes) being sold at spot at HGM: https://www.hattongardenmetals.com/gold-silver-special-offers

EDIT: Despite advertising as "SPOT PRICE SILVER" they then add VAT... 100g Silver bar at (round figures) £70, is £85 at checkout. Updated the Silver thread about it too.

From memory, HGM still adds 20% VAT even on 2nd hand silver

Only 37 were sold.

Have they released all of their 2022 mintage numbers yet? Can't find them on the RM web site

The memorial set sales were a special case (as most had no mintage limits within the availability window) and have been published already. It's linked from the normal sales figures page.

Not so brilliant anymore!!!

Having read a little about this, these are test coins that are handed around so they get scratched and sometimes even dropped so will never be perfect

You can see some marks from the picture, there will be more. On the smaller coins sometimes you need a glass to see the marks. The cachet with these is that they have been in the Trial of The Pyx, hence any higher value

The quality seems to vary depending on the coin. These black finishes are always going to struggle!

Who wants a carded 2012 Sovereign.  Only £11 more than the lowest priced random sovereign from the compare online list. £451  8 available

Cheaper than their loose 2012 I believe

Tempted. But I'd throw the packaging away and put in a quadrum capsule. If it was a 2002, I think I might bite

Gold is the money of kings, silver is the money of gentlemen, barter is the money of peasants, and debt is the money of slaves

Pretty snazzy how they pull out and push back into card, although I'd do the same.

Are these properly sealed? Can you remove them from the card and place back in?

Na they just popped out and back in. Some usually have obvious fingerprints.

I like to buy the pre-dip dip
