Used the code to buy a $300 sovereign on eBay.com so $300 - $60 = 240 with 6 X nectar points worth £5 so £150 plus Amex miles... Say £145 net inc postage ...

My new investment strategy is to set up 10 ebay/paypal accounts and only buy when these days come up:P

semi serious..

Or, do that and list sovereigns on each account for sale @ £250 each. Buy them with the accounts (obviously not the one it's listed on) using the code for each of the accounts.

You then get £218.75 for each with fees paid, but you only bought them for £200 by using the code.

£18.75 per sovereign gained, for a £187.50 profit overall.

Buy another sovereign for free, and repeat each time. No worries on fakes / non delivery etc.

I'm sure my maths must be wrong somewhere [emoji1]

not wishing to worry anyone but although I've got an email from eBay saying I've paid the discounted amount. My paypal account says I've paid the full price. mmmmmm

I think that's because the seller receives the full amount so that what shows in the summary.  If you go into the details it shows the breakdown of what you've paid and what's been paid by the voucher code.

My PayPal account also shows the full amount having been paid. Wait and see time!

I paid from PayPal balance and it shows the full price amount in transactions - but only the reduced price came off the balance.

Don't panic.....

Choice between Sov & silver...went for silver.

Got 15 x 1oz Brits for £191.98 delivered, cheaper than STG.

Invoice says discount applied, buy Paypal showing full amount taken from account...have Ebay messed up again?

SORRY......we were all obviously typing at similar time.

Currently stacking 1/4 oz (22ct) and Sovs.

I was feeling lonely here and thinking I'm the only one on Thesilverforum actually buying silver!

No,  the paypal summary includes the voucher contribution.  Click the details.
