We are a funny bunch us stackers.
We were still moaning and groaning spot should be so much higher when it was £800z not so many years back
Why weren't we selling the family silver to stock up on gold if we knew it was going to double in next 6-7 years
Now I'm a good decade and half into this stacking experiment I now come to realise most folk are only ever on "now o'clock"
I will still be buying, these prices now as just "the new normal" ultimately, I'm converting depreciating fiat into gold
net results, i will have an increased holding of gold. than I did last month
Spot can do what it likes, it will only be relevant when it comes to time I choose to cash out in my twilight years, in 20+ years time
If the steady uptrend in gold continues & unlimited fiat printed funny money printed we should be around the £10,000oz by then  (hopefully)

It's just an initial shock, you soon get over it.
'For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction'...some will baulk, some will carry on regardless.
I remember promising that I'd stop driving when petrol got to £2 a gallon. Drinking when beer hit £2 a pint.
    Yet.....😇
Things will change, more people drink at home now than frequent pubs, people care more about MPG than MPH.
In less developed countries, gold is still as prized as ever but folk just buy what they can afford.

Personally, I hit my target in 2020 and now I'm just buying things I like and items to complete collections, but still balancing my total by moving on odds and sods.
I was buying @ £700-750 an ounce so the temptation to draw profit is too strong and I've sold some things I may regret but hey ho.
I've always been a fan of stacking fractional gold and that will certainly continue.

Yes dipped most likely. They can be really shiny at one angle and flat and dull at another. I've had a few dipped coins over the years, it looks very much like one. You don't get the hairline scratches, so a lot of people don't realise.

Not sure about market value of these in original proof condition, but if you're not bothered about immaculate condition it's worth sticking up a wanted ad for a handled/impaired proof that will likely trade for bullion value or close to it.

I'd argue that it's a run of the mill 1887 sixpence and it's been cleaned. A coin should have either natural toning or original lustre. It appears the field, legends and designs all have exactly the same tone, and there's wear on the shield on the reverse. When coins are used they will pick up little bits of grime which get into the nooks and crannies (legends etc.). A coin that isn't FDC or crisp mint that has one overall colour is a dead ringer for a cleaned coin. This would give the coin a lifeless, flat look about it, which some unknowing sellers might consider matt (although matt should of course mean flat and not glossy/shiny).

No. It seems he drifted off course and was misidentified as an illegal migrant. This is how he ended up in the hotel. He probably thinks it's pretty cushy there and is putting his feet up until someone recognises him.

📣 Attention, everyone! 📣     Rumour has it that our beloved Owner, Lawrence Chard, has met some rather extraordinary fates recently. Speculations about his demise, the sale of our business (Not true), or even his intergalactic escapades have been floating around. Lawrence Chard is alive, the business is thriving, and he's very much here, working his magic behind the scenes.

He last posted on 23rd February. One might think in these times of 'died suddenly' - that he might have...........died suddenly - but it seems not. i can see he has been lurking - giving the odd appreciative like and laugh against posts. His last like was on 18th May Thursday at 15:29. So there we are - all's well with the world; at least as far as Blackpool, Lancashire.
To be honest i was always surprised at the amount of input he was able to muster considering he is ultimately running a multi-employee businees turning over millions.
Top bloke all in all i must say.

I would use a cardboard box. You can buy "large letter" boxes of amazon or ebay pretty easily.
Jiffy bags are just too easliy cut into quickly.
A cardboard postage box with an outer layer of tape or brown paper will be much better.
I use them all the time!
Maybe you have a spare BYB box lying around!
RM 100g large letter international should get there all OK with  up to £50 insurance as standard with the optionto pay more and get £250 cover.
    Good luck!
