sixgun got a reaction from Alex944 in Help required to identify silver spoon hallmarks
This is not the easiest of marks to decipher
The Lion Passant is Sterling silver.
The anchor is Birmingham
The year marks are P and O - these could be 1913 and 1914 or 1938 and 1939. These particular year marks are very similar.
The year issue is resolved by the marker's mark.
This is Arthur Price & Co. This company was not registered in 1913 / 14 but it was in 1938 / 39
So this is Birmingham Sterling silver from 1938 / 39 by Arthur Price & Co.

sixgun got a reaction from Alex944 in Help required on a Silver medallion
You seem to have most of it already.
There are a couple of these medallions in bronze for sale on ebay.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/353755157110
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/304204984798
These actually look like the same medallion as there is tarnishing over a sail in the same place.
The silver version is seen here:
https://medalhasportuguesas.wordpress.com/2019/04/29/100-anos-de-actividade/
https://medalhasportuguesas-wordpress-com.translate.goog/2019/04/29/100-anos-de-actividade/?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=es&_x_tr_pto=nui
Notice the silver version is 50mm and the bronze version is said to be 80mm. So you can check whether it is silver or not.

A vintage Seasons Greetings 10oz bar from World Wide Mint. A private mint which did a lot of other silver art bars in the 1970's and early 1980's.

Thanks to Ash a couple of 1 kilo bars from Australia. Deak International bought the refinery from Engelhard which explains why the bars have a similar look. Deak didn't last long and was bought out by Johnson Matthey.

sixgun reacted to Simmoleon in Will conservation remove this black rust?
Probably the answer you will expect but potentially; I have put numerous coins in for conservation then grading and sometimes they conserve and sometime they decided it’s not best for the coin. In terms of black rusty type spots this article may give a better indication: https://www.ngccoin.com/news/article/8926/NCS-coin-conservation/

sixgun got a reaction from Griffo in Is it usual to refuse other Gold than 24 Carat as a Newbie?
A UK penny is 20.3mm, a half sovereign is 19.33mm and a full sovereign 22.05mm.
Do you really think a purse or an airport X-ray tray with these coins in is going to get noticed?
People don't notice - i know they don't notice.
Indeed i have to look at the coin's face to distinguish a 2 euro cent from a 5 euro cent even after years of using them. People don't notice.
