From a silver bar point of view i would stick with 999 silver. This is the form of silver buyers are looking for these days, rather than Sterling.
If you make bullions products they do not need to be hallmarked. There is no legal definition of bullion but basically if you are selling a lump of silver which the buyer sees as and buys as a lump of silver then it is bullion. If you are making an art piece where the buyer sees it as an art piece and buys as such, then you need to get it hallmarked.
Then you would need to register with one of the assay offices. Then you would get a maker's mark. You can keep this yourself and add the maker's mark to the piece yourself or get the assay office to apply the mark.
You can get any stamp you like. A search of the internet will find companies which make punches for logo's, weights, purity mark stamps and so on.
There is also the issue of it being a business for tax purposes and the issues around VAT.

These people are so out of touch.
Firstly they can't lock down Russia's gold reserves. Who would for example stop Russia selling to China?
Second Russia is on the buy - the Bank of Russia is buying everything in sight and banned the export of gold from Russia in January.

An interesting vintage bar. Cascade Refining. Just got it off the forum. They didn't make many of these odd weight bars.
The serial number on the bar is the date when it was cast so in this case the 14th April 1989.

It is not really amazing how i now see so many silver bulls appearing in the media after coming out of some hidden crevice of the woodwork - not amazing b/c there wannabees always turn up to the party. Some people have been patiently waiting and eating the leftovers and supping the dregs from last time and the time before that and the time before that.....

The Ukrainian event and the reaction of the West to it is pushing up oil prices and that pushes up metals prices. Then there is the flight to safety that happens at times like these.

i know, i think we are wasting our time with them but there will be others who read the threads and don't post. Some people will take notice. i took a lot of stick in the early days of the COVID threads but now we see how it is all coming unravelled. All the crazy stuff sixgun and his comrades were posting was actually true. Amazing. The truth can be stranger than fiction.

i think some of this conversation would better take place on the WWIII thread. Perhaps members should take heed of that.
Events seem to not to have settled over the weekend. My guess is we are inline for another bullish week ahead for gold.

i know, i think we are wasting our time with them but there will be others who read the threads and don't post.
