I'm relieved Andrew because the RM has been pumping different coins out like there's no tomorrow. 
I have no plans to sell the silver I bought but I do look at most purchases from a collector's/investors prospective.
So much as you might enjoy a coin you don't want it to be a flop?

Looks to be their standard silver one used for £65 coins. Given that you're paying £180 is should have been the same wooden one as the gold. But hey that's RM.

Let's get one thing clear. I like the coin connection!
I thought it was a bit cheeky to slap another grand on the asking price within a few hours of release when they realised which way the wind was blowing.

They SO need to do this as either a 1oz Gold Bullion series with mintages of 5000 per coin, or as a Quintuple Sovereign series with mintages of at least 1000 per coin.
The 2oz gold proofs can then continue to be special and rare, whilst allowing relatively more people (like me!) to own and enjoy these beautiful designs once again at a sensible-ish price.
Come on Royal Mint!  And do a 1oz Gold Bullion Valiant while you're at it 😊

i just brought the sliver 2oz £178.50 coin connection 
i don't see this as a massive risk (properly get you money back at worse) and it will be fun to see where this all goes , rather then watching from the sidelines

Agreed that this is a good deal. The picture on the listing shows a coin in a condition that I don't think would appeal to most people. However, they do say on the actual listing that: The photograph shows the type of coin you will receive, not the exact item. At least you can say they are being honest about the potential condition...
I am warming to Atkinsons. I may change my self imposed ban. Let's see whether they start stocking good price fractional gold eagles again!
