Very nice, I will eventually get some gold in my 1930 - 1945 stack, seen a few I like but being extra cautious until I learned all about them first.
Mines are all 20F format - 6.45g 90% purity from period 1865-1927

10% premium on 1/4 Oz commemorative stuff with low liquidity etc ; is it ok ?
I'm not familiar with 1/4oz format - what are the premiums usually for known coins ? Krugerrand maple etc ? I know it s much more than for the 1oz.

I have got an info from a pro guy and he said that the restrikes look proof or proof like ; have a softer strike ; and unlike original ones the fields are not perfectly flat and have a more concave appearance
Problem solved! Thanks all !

Thank you @whuamai you are one of the best in the world
I think the only way to know would be to superpose two photos of a restrike and an original , next to each other , on the side ( the rim?)

I can’t find photos of the two edges, but basically on the side of the coin, it’s smooth and has “БОЖЕ ПАЗИ БЪЛГАРИЯ” on it. On the restrike the letters are thick and have more space than the original.
thank you very much.

Hello
Can someone help me in this. I can't find the answer in numismatic books.
20 leva bulgaria 1912 (50th anniversary )
I see online :
Official restrikes of this type were produced at the Bulgarian Mint in Sophia from 1967-68 and released prior to 2002; These pieces can be distinguished by their thicker more widely spaced edge legends
I am not understanding what this exactly mean in English , could someone show me two different pictures of a restrike and of a non-restrike ?Thank you -

I saw them that franga is always going to be out of reach sigh 😂
I hope to sell them before 2050.
But it s really genuinely beautiful ; sometimes I get upset to pay a lot of premium for an average-looking coin but that one is well-deserved.
I also many times feel that you really like or dislike a coin only after manipulating it in hand and looking at it with a magnifier. Sometimes you expect a coin to he a bit ugly on photo but you like it once in hand - or vice versa.
Does this happen to all of you ?

The 20 francs rooster is a good looking coin. I have a 20f angel as my ‘lucky coin’. I even want to be buried with it when the inevitable happens 😂. It was my first 20 franc and that coin ain’t going nowhere haha.
I would like to be buried with my entire collection

If I recall the courser beard coin generally is of tougher quality especially around the shield. Apart from that I can’t make out any major difference.
I think the neck might be slightly thinner on one.
Added 0 minutes later...Those Angels are lush. If I recall I found you one you were missing? That correct if memory serves?
thanks...... i call this difference of neck/beard MINIMAL and i won't be chasing for both "types".

@augur or any other member ( @ilovesilverireallydo) do you think there is a difference between
20 Francs Belgium 1864 to 1866 (|light beard)
and 20 francs Belgium 1867 to 1870 (corser beard)
I dont see anything on photos. I don't even think that the coins are really that different from each other

Have no clue about bars and collectors of bars but here is the info I found on internet
The company has ceased to exist in 1996; bought by Cookson. Before that it was a quite important precious metal ( and also non precious ) company in France. At some point of history it even had a factory in Egypt .

The shop is registered in the street in Paris with all the serious dealers. I would trust him but I agree that the header looks pretty bad with the mistakes !

Fantastic collection Choi ! the 20 francs format is also my favorite- although I collect only from 1865 to 1927.
I am so proud as a Frenchman to see our Kings in collections - as far as In Korea

@Melon the coin is nice , but not a big fan of the rainbow colors on the hat "spoiling" the coin
