I have mentioned the colour and lack of silver content to them many times, but they do not appear to be very good at listening. I have also written to them with a quite detailed argument. I have mentioned this in previous TSF posts. They did not say no, which is hopeful, so in another 10 years or so, we might be able to convince them. It is possible that if they see sense and capitulate, it might be seen as the RM being wrong for the past 50 years, and me being right.

    Just remind them of this:

Unfortunately, Customs are often a P.I.T.A. everywhere. Some seem to think their job is to get as much of your money as possible, and make you do the work to get it back.

Are there any Europe dealers who sell these? My experience with customs has been terrible lately and Shipping from the UK will cost me way too much on fees and vat (I know these coins should be exempted from VAT but try explaining that to Dutch customs).

I like that idea a lot! Perhaps @LawrenceChard , @Alun and @ChrisSilver can team up and create some beautiful TSF 2022 Bullion Sovereigns sets in customs walnut boxes? 😍
Edit: And if someone could call the Royal Mint and ask* them to replace the copper with silver then we would have a real winner.

Thanks. I will go for it, but oh boy, I do hate that kind of (surely deliberately) deceptive layout and arrangement of checkboxes.
You're effectively opted in by default, and at a quick glance you'd assume you haven't opted into Email or Telephone contact because the checkboxes are blank to start off with. It just feels as though they're hoping you won't read the preceding paragraph properly.  Vultures!

Jvw reacted to Pete in We are saved..Gold set to double in price!
Gold may double in price mathematically by way of a simple example -
A Christmas pudding from Tescos today costs £5
A gram of gold today costs £43
So you can buy 8 puddings and expect some change swapping a gram of fine gold.
If the gold price remains "unchanged in real terms" but the pound depreciates 50% through (a) printing swathes more fiat and (b) high inflation -
That Christmas pudding bought next Xmas could be priced at £10 and a gram of gold will have risen to £86.
Comparing the price of gold in a year - yes it may have doubled, but the purchasing power of your pound will have halved.
To some of us old-timers who have experienced high inflation but lifesaving 30% annual play rises to make up for this, the value of gold has not really increased so much as charts would suggest ignoring inflation and exchange rates but it has certainly retained its value meaning real purchasing power.

Jvw reacted to JasonDavies in We are saved..Gold set to double in price!
    Gold has been around forever.
The Christmas pudding originated around the 14th century.
But Tescos started sometime just after the first world war.
So, I imagine that the Gold to Tescos Christmas pudding ratio has only been with us for about 100 years.

However, Woolworths started in 1879 and in some countries the Woolworths Matured Christmas Pudding is still available.
I think that as the Gold to Woolworths Christmas pudding ratio has more history to it then it may be a more reliable indicator.

I have always been taxed when i ordered silver from outside of the EU*. I did however found a secret method which was very easy to apply. Since I switched my method i got all my silver in free of import charges.
    I switched to buying locally.🤫

    * In fact; I even get charged on VAT free gold when importing gold coins. So I might not be a good example to give advice on importing PM's

Welcome to the forum, and I have started as a stacker also. That quickly went out the door when I started collecting consecutive dates, then also different coins, and before you know it you are paying crazy premiums for that specific coin ;).
I like Goldsilver as a European dealer. Many on this forum can tell you otherwise because some had bad experiences, but my business with them has always been good.
I also stack Philharmoniker coins, they come out cheapest and are also beautiful coins. There are 20 in a tube so a little less coins per tube than other mints use. But that means you don't have to spend much to have 20 coins protected in a plastic tube at once

    Hello everyone
I'm new here on the forum and I thought this query would serve as my "introduction".
I live in Europe and for a long time I have been interested in prepping etc. One area where I haven't prepped is when it comes to money, because I'm not really money-oriented.
However, I'm not blind to inflation and since I've gotten a better personal economy with time, I've wanted to get into silver stacking. I like the idea of it because of the off-grid nature of it, both away from electronics and the banks in general.

Now, I've looked around for quite a bit, trying to garner general knowledge of the business so to speak and now I'm looking to make my first purchase. From what I've seen these two get mentioned quite often when it comes to good stores. From what I've seen, I haven't found any good lists of actual store/sites, hence me asking. If you have any other that are equal or better, I'd love to hear of them.
    EuropaBullion
    GoldSilver

Secondly, I will be doing this mainly as inflation protection, not to continually trade that specific coin from that year etc, not as a collector basically. At least not to start off.
So the second part is this: From what I've seen, Europa Bullion's "Goddess Europa" coin and "Bull/Bear" coin, along with the Philharmoniker coin, seems to be the cheapest 1oz units, considering both coins and rounds. Am I correct in this? (in general of course)
As a stacker, should I be going for these (or any that are the cheapest) as the most silver for my money, or is there a good reason to buy, for example silver maple or silver eagles instead?
    Or some of several?
Thanks in advance for any wisdom you may impart.

Hello All, a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
I have been watching You Tube videos for a little while trying to educate myself on Gold and Silver and from there heard about this Forum.  I am (loosely) a stacker, but do have to fight the urge to buy sets.  For example, I am keen to build a run of RM Valiant 10oz coins and am always open to adding another 1kg PM Kook or Koala should it come up at an attractive price (yes, gutted I have just missed one!).  The more I see the price of 1oz silver coins increase, the easier I find buying bigger denominations (bars or coins) rather than broadening the coin collection.  Still cannot understand why a 1oz silver Eagle is so much more expensive than a 1oz silver Britannia?
Looking forward to reading peoples thoughts on the prices, trading and buying more.

    Hey all,

New to the forum here, not new to the world of coins but I am pretty green when it comes to stacking silver as I'm just taking more interest in it.  I have a few pieces of silver that were either given to me, purchased for numismatic/collector's reasons or pulled from circulation.

I have dabbled in coin collection for most of my life, my grandmother worked for Littleton Coin Company over 50 years.

So ya, anyway - there's a little background on me, I joined to hopefully learn a bit more about stacking and collecting precious metals and the like.  Right now I'm actually going through and cleaning up my coin collection and trying to get an inventory and have it more organized.

Happy new year to all of you. The New year starts with some interesting news. A whole lot of William coins are announced. Can't wait to see, if his tooth care works.
It also looks like on february 8 is coming a commemorative chibi coin for the pornstar with the biggest and most accurate hydrocephalus in the world.
