I too, sir, am a fan of Scottsdale Mint.  I like how they incorporated the leapord skin pattern into the field.  Marlin piece is a wonder item.  The Mermaid Rising silver oz was beautifully executed.  Hoping for a series with these pieces.
 

It seems to me scottsdale really wants to fire up these series.
Wrong face value last year, low mintage this year.
They will hold their premium and I think it will increase as long as the series keeps going.
The design of the coins are different than other coins with animals.
The quality of the coins are just really good and with actual fitting capsules.
The marlin is absolutely stunning, such a shame that they didn't change design this year.
The queen looks awesome and very realistic, the water in the background is the cherry on top.
...then again, I think I am a scottsdale fanboy, so there is that.

Just confirmed with Scottsdale mint the the mintage is 8500. 

Arrived this weekend.
The Kiangnan Dragon dollar and 2x a Dutch Lion dollar (Leeuwendaalder) Restrike.
The finish on the daalders is fine and rough at the same time, hard to describe, but they are really nice.



 


 
 

I personally like the idea of them giving the little guys the first opportunity to buy the KVT's before institutional buyers. Think of all the big name IPO's over the years where the little guy couldn't even try to buy at the initial price because the big money had first crack at it and drove it sky high.   And I also believe there has probably been a decision made to offer any unsold KVT's to institutional investors after a certain date.  With the business model they are bringing to market, I think Kinesis is better served by having thousands of individual KVT holders who are vested in the business, want it to succeed, will use the system themselves and tell their friends and relatives to do the same, rather then one or two institutional investors who just look at it as an investment entry on their books.  The size of Kinesis' marketing team increases with every new individual KVT owner.  As was said above, they far exceeded the soft cap $ amount that was needed to launch the system, so I am not concerned that it won't happen.  Is it high risk?  Certainly.  There is always the chance that it won't accomplish wide scale acceptability and usage.  But if it does, that high risk gives a high reward.  I look at this as a high risk venture capital investment without my having to have the big $ that the usual venture capital investor has to have to play in the game.  FYI, I have bought KVT's.  

In a few years time I'll buy a small farm or a house with a small plot and a shop so I can do a little homesteading.
So when the time comes that I need a lifeboat, I will have one. If the time doesn't come, all the better, got myself a nice new hobby then.
I am half way of paying off my house in country of birth, so I can rent that out for extra monthly income.
My silver stack is growing nicely and I have some cash. 
I also want to build my own boat, as an ex navy sailor it's always been a dream of mine and I would have literally a life boat.
 
I will be relying on myself if it becomes necessary, but I am not hoping it. I don't want the world to crash.
You can prep a little and also enjoy the boom we have now. Personally, I enjoy it with boobs and booze.

@vanderPoot etherscan.io has 438 holders - a couple are Kinesis. It was stated in the last TF Metals interview that all the KVT's could have been sold to large players in the first month but a decision was made to give the general public a chance. i agree they are not flying off the shelf. Large players are not on the register and there will be large players lining up. They will all be allocated at the end.
The K coins will be sold in the pre-ico phase starting 12th November. Not everyone has the resources, knowledge or wish to mint coins - you need enough cash to buy 10kg of silver or 100g gold. There will those who wish to buy from minters and collect a holder's yield.
The debt card will convert K coins into fiat for the retailer. So not taking K coins is not an impediment to spending them.
