🤔 ok,  now I’m curious… no mention of new premises on their website - care to elucidate a little more? 😏

Basically they are very discreet about it. Its not advertised at all. They mainly push the online side. But they have the ability to buy over the counter at the new premises. This is handly for large quantities of gold or silver.

if you want to drop off to them, you have to phone up and make an appointment, and then they will email you the address - it’s not advertised anywhere.

The address is in Minworth near Sutton Coldfield (birmingham)

So in your case to remove the cash balance from the stock and shares ISA and buy sovereigns instead

    Opportunity cost

Loose the ISA allowance for that year

    Or

Try and capitalise on the 2023 sovs

    ?

Tbh as much as im tempted i think il probably leave the money in my isa. In 20 years hopefully I’ll thank myself.

ive heard about flexible isas where you can remove the money (over £20k if needs be) as long as you put it back within that tax year or something. This is interesting to me as opportunities always present themselves!

Only <1%, mate, why do you have a heart attack?😁

When goes up more than 3% in few minutes you said nothing!😘

This cracked me up. It’s so true though. “Buy the dip” - that dip will be irrelevant in a decade. Probably in a year. Possibly in a week at this rate!

(I have bought no gold for months so what do i know 😂)

Friend and family are the worst. Never mix business with friends and family. You end up loosing them and the business if not carful

    THIS.

So many people fall into the trap of renting to friends and family. It’s a business arrangement - keep it as such.

I gave up using an IFA many years ago when I worked out that he was simply my money into products that had the biggest commission - so was best for him.

    Beat decision I ever made

I have found this when I’ve enquired. “No you don’t want a sipp, come and use our pension platform, but all your money from your ISA into it etc etc”

I could actually do with some sound IFA, mostly to do with being more tax efficient but it seems hard to find good advice.

looks like i have some work to do to get a full date run lol. Some of my QEII duplicates are gone as i didn’t update the list. I think it’s a good little side mission though. I know someone with 200plus sovs who might swap some lol.

The last 2 George's I needed paid a premium for though the rest have been about best value at the going rate.

I've predominantly just bought best value but when the opportunity arises on here I've sometimes picked dates (especially recently)

Sometimes I've ignored dates because they're a bit more than I'd like to pay or a bit rough looking or simply too slow and already been sold.

Also haven't done it the most efficient way (lots of duplicates and missed opportunities) as it wasn't really my intention to do this. Started to pay a bit more attention to sovs not long ago and catalogued the dates I had and figured I was over half way

Thats the situation I’m in, lots of sovs with a pretty broad date spectrum. I might work out whats missing.

Are you done now or do you plan to swap out dates for better examples if you get them?

All available bullion years from Young Victoria George & Dragon reverse to today 1871 to 2022

The capsuled sovs are duplicates to show the portrait changes although I didn't show the George V small head for 1929-1932

Great hoard of sovs but to have it as a full date run is super impressive. Interested to kmow if your persuit of specific dates has cost you much more than it would have otherwise.

    well done mate
