A puzzle board and silver elemental cube from @BackyardBullion.  The puzzle board looks great and is extremely functional...the tiles slide very easily and smoothly.  Also the elemental cube is very well done.  I wasn't sure how a poured, hand made version of these cubes would turn out, but he did an awesome job!

There are risks with all investments and plenty of warnings.
When things are running smoothly and your portfolio is rising you can become smug, but without warning, something crashes knocking out all or most of your gains.
You must DIVERSIFY and spread your wealth into several different products.
Never place all your investments into the same basket as at some point you may be hit with a disaster that was not predicted.
There are few experts that get it right all the time so stick to well known products whilst checking fees which can have a big negative affect over time.
If you are a stacker then the general advice is not to have more than 20% of your total assets in PMs.
PMs are in the commodity class meaning high risk.
Everyone knows that high risk also translates to potentially high gains but also potentially high losses.
Another tip is never find yourself HAVING to sell.
PMs will fluctuate and you need to ensure you have cash or other funds in case you have the unexpected need for money.

It's a double prize for @augur because now he also gets free postage on another item that he purchased in the USA, as these will be posted together.  Good karma for starting off the draw with 3 prizes!!

May I politely say I disagree that gold is used for criminal enterprise / money laundering.
Criminals are desperate to get cash / gold / physical assets transferred into companies, accounts, trades and are even happy to pay tax on their ill gotten gains.  This is why there is massive scrutiny in all banking with respect to any transaction that turns a physical asset into a de-materialised asset.
Criminal enterprise as far as I am professionally aware is very keen NOT to own assets like gold

Well done to @BackyardBullion and Mrs BYB for an absolutely seamless and fault free transaction on the group order. Also thanks to @Alun for his new QB 10 oz case. I will now have to deconstruct the worlds tallest and heaviest tea coaster, but it's great they have now found a proper home...

Celebrated a big round number birthday last week!
    Got some golden goodies!
A really nice 20 peso. Also purchased from @gazer a  NGC graded 1911 C Sovereign.
I now have two of these gold 20 peso aztec coins. My other one has a bit of red marking on it. One day i may put that one up for sale on here, but for now i'm just gonna enjoy handling them both and looking at the really cool design through a loupe!

A few comments here are a bit harsh but to be expected. You have been a member of this forum for the best part of 2 years.
In April 2017 you posted asking about which gold coins to buy. You were showered with 2 pages of suggestions. You made good choices in the coins you got if you were looking at 1oz coins. Your intention was to hold them for a number of years. All good so far. You joined a community of gold bugs, you asked for advice, you made good coin choices, you realised gold coins are longer time frame holdings.
You did not post on the forum since then and selling the coins. That does not mean you haven't been reading and learning about gold and silver, a lot of people prefer to watch and read rather than mucking in. However i suspect you haven't been reading much.
You then sold the coins. You didn't ask for the advice of the community but you did come back to tell us you made a £600 loss selling to Atkinson's. You panicked - you say you wanted to get rid of them as quickly as possible.
Members are being unsympathetic b/c to them it is barn door obvious that rather than posting to say you 'got stung' you should have posted asking for advice about selling. You would have had a queue of people wanting to buy those coins. You could have used Backyard Bullion as an intermediary, a new service he is offering. Longstanding members would not diddle you, they have their good name to defend, they are decent honest members of a community. You are in a round about way saying we are untrustworthy. You didn't trust us anyway.
i don't think selling now was the right decision but i might be proven wrong. That is a judgement call that only and time will tell. The issue is you didn't need to lose the £600. You could have come out clean, you might even have made a profit.
    It is done now.

So, sorting through a % of my Sydney only shields and found this new discovery
    1875S - 1 over inverted 1
Something also to note is that this is on the raised W.W. variety so rarer in itself. Considering there are only 2 over dates recorded in the Sydney/Melbourne series I'm quite happy with this one.
I do have quite a few newly discovered varieties in the branch mints but this is one of the better ones, just below the DFF/DEF+strange R punch used in GRATIA

Just incase anyone else out there is looking to cash out on some 1 oz Queens beasts @BleyerBullion stated in their interview with me that they would pay above melt value for these coins where appropriate. Certainly better than spot price.
Also, as an aside - I will buy whatever number of Queens beasts lions and Griffin's at spot price even +5%. All day long. Gimmie gimmie gimme. I am sure @Abyss would say the same.
Another aside, I have and continue to offer intermediary sales services just for this very situation where new sellers might have cold feet about using the forum for large value sales.
I am going to be watching the Atkinson's pre owned page with a keen eye to see just how much money they are going to make in the next week from this trade!

No...I would not sell any of my houses in the same way I would not sell gold
But I am degrading my equity positions
To be straight I have a career in investment banking and have seen all sorts of crashes, panics, have seen fortunes lost and made in minutes.
What works long term in my professional opinion is to buy and hold.

@Glorfindel, I'm sorry that you had a bad experience with gold and that you lost part of your 'investment'.
But that is nothing compared to how sorry I am that I wasn't able to pick up 1oz Queen's Beasts or Britannias for less than spot 🙁

Just for future reference the issue about Brexit is not about gold it is about Sterling. Gold is not going to go down the plug hole because of Brexit. What the UK does is neither here nor there. The British Empire was thrown away financing WWII when peace was the stroke of a pen away, after that we became a virtual irrelevance. So unless the Bank of England comes clean about stealing all the gold and selling it, the UK's antic aren't going to make a big impact.
If Brexit does not go the way the powers that should not be want it then expect Sterling to be pounded (to use a pun). This is exactly when you want to be in gold. When things look dodgy go to gold.
You should have sold on the forum. The coins would have sold over the weekend especially as it is the end of the month when quite a lot of members are paid. i would say this is THE safest place to sell. If you sell to longstanding members you will get paid. A few months ago i bought a sovereign on the forum. It did not turn up. The member refunded me. Then it turned up and i sent the money back.
