Received a nice Kookaburra box as a Christmas gift and put in my collection so far.  Working on filling the box.

Better late than never, only just had a chance to get everything together. Full gold stack, been exactly 6months, im 2 sovs shy of aprox 30oz which is my short term target. Will continue to pick up the remaining beasts and also some sovs but slowing down a lot unless theres a major dip in prices as have other projects starting soon.

last coin just arrived and my 2002 (for 2004 Olympics) set is complete. Fits nicely in a sovereign case as well. 😀

I would buy the first coins to complete 1-2 sets and then larger quantities of the current ones, with minimum premium, hoping they will follow the same path of appreciation.

Albeit that I have allowed myself some nice distractions along the way, I have finally added these two year dates to complete the eight released ‘red box’ editions of Half Sovereigns.  This in my wider quest to fill a 1980 through to present day, date run of Half Proof Sovereigns.  How I admire these little coins.

And one of the distractions received today

I was feeling really left out with my daughter's massive amount of Unicorn presents they got this Christmas so I got myself one too.
A 2 oz Unicorn Silver round from @SilverStan at PreciousGoldandSilver. Awesome service and prompt delivery.
While i was there, i got myself one of their (Joint Silverstan and a silver forum member creation) custom Brexit 50p (Not PM though). I think i'll make it my everyday carry!

In India on annual leave visited MMTC Pamp retail store and purchased some premium silver coins not available outside of India

Each silver animal coin has unique almost proof like reverse that has the associated feature for that animal

Missing some animals to complete the collection hoping to acquire before returning back to the UK.

Started mainly as collector and a big part of my buys continue in this direction. It had been an enjoyable hobby for me, that pure stacking can't satisfy. It has replaced other cheaper but sizable collections (DVDs for example), that you lose maybe 80% of your money or more when reselling. The problem with collectible items is that you need time to resell them, if you don't want to lose money (and some times you can still do).
So I have decided in the last months to divide my budget between investment and collectibles and also started selling a part of my second for the first. Except the ease in selling bullion (or similar) items, the other advantage is the low attachment with the actual items. Meaning you can sell easier if and when you want. But of course the excitement factor is seriously lower (except the thrill of the volumes building up maybe! 😁 ).
Although I understand that gold is the safest and most liquid bet, I can't stop feeling that silver is quite undervalued at the moment, the same as platinum. So lately I am stacking mostly silver bullion and junk (which has a certain appeal as well). In silver bullion I split between classic coins (Eagles, Philharmonics etc.) and some speculative items. The later being coins that are not much more expensive than the cheapest bullion ones but have a chance to acquire some numismatic value on the road (Queen's Beasts for example).
