  1. Everyone please note, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, attempt to use 20% nitric acid to clean silver coins.
  2. I used to have a collection of 10oz kooks, very nice coins, had to dump them all last year due to the CGT situation.
  3. What price are you offering?
  4. Just watched the @BackyardBullion video, It's a real coin, still no clue as to why only BBP know it exists.
  5. And unless you're buying british legal tender coins you're liable for CGT when you sell them.
  6. Got one on order, no sign of postie today though,
  7. No, definitely part of the production process.
  8. I am led to believe that people in medieval times spent much less time staring at screens and phones and so, yes, probably had better eyesight.
  9. Welcome, have a look around, don't be afraid to ask questions,
  10. Don't personally know, the only maples I have are 2017, and they are for some reason, currently milk free.
  11. Canadian mint now has a thing called "Mintshield" which is supposed to solve the milk problem. https://www.mint.ca/en/bullion/mintshield
  12. All evidence so far tends to suggest it's caused by contaminants during the washing of the blanks before they minted into coins and by they're packaged and stored the damage is already done.
  13. If you truly have a kilo of these I believe both @Darr3nG and BYB could put them to good use.
  14. Just consider the space first, a sovs worth of lego (£400ish) is a box around the size of a large microwave. Prices seem random, some sets which I bought for £7 are now selling for £70, but some are still just £7 It's another thing I wish I'd never bought.

  16. For some reason I have 3 of these, £785 posted
  17. History tends to suggest you got lucky.
  18. Had this once with HSBC but that was £1200ish Had to explain I was buying gold coins, I neglected to mention the seller had stated their intention to sell up and leave the country as I didn't think that would help. One the flip side, a couple of months ago I made an ATM withdrawal and asked for £200 but the machine only gave me £160, I complained to the staff at the time and they said they would need to get an engineer to check the machine, a few days later I had a phone call, we went through the details again, and was told the investigation was ongoing but could take up to 28 days. 2 days later I received a text message that said "Following an investigation an error has been found and we have issued a refund", I checked online to see if my £40 was back, but no, they refunded the whole £200!
