And yet having seen the cipher design, a 1/4 was my first choice, then checked Atkinsons, Chards and even the royal mint only to find it didn't exist. If it hadn't been for a BYB youtube video it would have been a total secret. Just seems a very strange way to run a business. -

Best tax advice I've seen was a tweet by an american woman, My 6 year old asked how tax works, so I gave him a large bag of M&M's and said "now you have to give me some back, but I'm not going to tell you how many, and if you get the answer wrong, you go to prison" -
If the coronation is the cheapest availiable new coin then when you come to sell then either it has a premium and you're a winner, or it's still just bullion and you haven't lost.

My plan also, 1oz coins are a big chunk of money and in a couple of years I see this getting much worse so sticking with 1/4's, sovs, half sovs and 1/10's if I see them without a massive premium. May be tempted by some crowned silver brits if I see some at a reasonable price.

Anyone know what this is : The off center strike tends to suggest it's old, but the general condition looks pretty new, it's 23~23.5mm dia, 1.15mm thick and weight 2.9g

Actually, I can well imagine the gold market in parts of NI is as large as the rest of mainland UK.

I think a large part if just the fact that a tube of brits (current Atkinsons price) is £663 of which the silver is £473, and £111 goes straight to Jeremy *unt.
