Anyone got an update on the 4 coin sets yet?

My bullion double sovereign is currently winging its way to me from the RM.  I ordered it on Friday, and will collect it from the local sorting office in a few days' time (I will be at my workplace tomorrow when they attempt delivery).
Looking forward to seeing the design in the metal, since I didn't order any of the proofs - and the bullion sovereign coin from H&B has yet to arrive.

I think you're safe. They sent out the last 3 coin sets last week, so presumably just a few days extra to mint the final doubles, assemble everything, and ship

Nope, called yesterday - lady said no more coins being made and should get an update soon but no other info. 

@blackadder I just sell when I have £1 selling fee offers. 
 
I try to sell on here to but for some items it is a big difference between here and ebay

IMO: People stack silver due to the pumpers telling them they can become rich. I find on the forum people start stacking silver and after some time realise their losses and change to stacking gold.
I think normal people thinking silver can go to $100 or whatever the made up number is gives them a bit of hope. However, none of these people offer sound financial advice and when people lose the pumpers are not held accountable. 

Any investment that you start in the hole at -20% and then even further minus due to premium should be a red flag for most. 

I remember, back in 2009, thinking that the Zimbabwean $100 trillion note would become collectible, so I bought one on eBay for £5. They are now selling for about £150. I should have had more conviction and bought a whole bunch.

If you want exposure to silver and believe in it rising. For pure investment purpose. You would be best buying something like ISLN on whatever broker app you use. This way you are buying £100=£100. 
 
If you want some physical for hobby that is different. 
 
One thing to note is these premiums can be passed on as long as you are not selling to dealers. But if you get to any sort of volume it will be hard to offload it all at peak price. 

I think there is one way out and Id like to try find some books on Japans economy and what has happened there.
The way out is a reduction in consumerism. The inevitable will still happen one day just it will be dragged out a lot longer. 

Also why I haven’t went heavy in crypto this year. Assuming the hikes are attempted I think there will be much better entry points into crypto as money will be harder to borrow for a lot of people. If they are not already tapped out.

cash will be king at a point but from reading during the great depression banks were only paying out 10 cents on the dollar when runs on the bank were happening. I know not all banks but many would have been different. 
 
I am only 25 so don’t know a lot of the history. I understand a way in phasing out cash helps have no run on the banks if there is a crisis then they can offer everyone 10% on their deposit and there is nothing you can do. 
 
Currently then what I was going to ask anyone with a portion of cash waiting. Is it physical cash to hold rather than sitting in a bank account?

@stefffana Was watching an interesting video tonight. During the last recession 08. China instead of offering stimulus to people sitting doing nothing. Decided to invest the money in paying workers to make high speed rail. 
 
Shows in this how it has hurt them today with a lot of ageing infrastructure that is costing them heavily. 

@HerefordBullyun I have seen a few things in the FT and other sources that in some consumer goods in Japan have actually deflated due to no demand compared to us.
From what I see Japan is a way of looking into the future. Who knows when but eventually people are not going to pay these prices I feel.

I'd be concerned that this is actually quite a high mintage for the Mint to produce so many Matte BUNCS considering the problems with many of the issues (apart from Brexit but who knows what happened with those?). But I wouldn't put anyone off who wants one and think it's an investment (as it may very well be) - in fact I'd say anyone who wants one should get two - better safe than sorry - send the second (worse) one back if no chance of a 70 and you need the funds!

@kimchi Fully agree and I am sure they will do great. Quality is a concern too because on a low mintage like this it’ll simply be a refund if it needs returned.
One thing I will say is although the 2017 has made money. Currently it trades for about the same as that years normal sovereign. In the grading slabs nobody probably cares. 

Me too, had the chance to get one but don't like any of the Mattes. It might do well (hopefully very well for all the folk here!) but compared to a glorious PL 2017 or 2018 Coronation Sapphire it's not something I was remotely tempted on at £675.
Quality is always a scare on these Mattes and 1200 in a day is a lot to strike (goodness knows how they managed so many 2017s).
2017 was obviously a very special and unique year for Sovs (and they blew people away with the design). They've almost doubled the Platinum Coronation numbers, the number I have to hand for the Platinum Accession is 739 (Coin News 'Coin Yearbook 2022' - I know, not the most accurate source). That said it could be Liz's last and is one to hold I'd suggest and not expect to make much on short-term (unless flipping quickly).

Finally completed one collection, fingers crossed the 2022 comes back a 70 😊

Email I had from H&B, looks like we should be getting them by mid January. 

Considering the RM ones are on pre-sale to be issued for release on 11 January, no complaints from me.
