High Relief Kangaroo 2014. Recently discovered high relief proofs and find them really interesting.

I just got my lastest order from @BackyardBullion It started with the silver globe, one of which I managed to get hold of. Really love how it looks, with the finish and the base (props to BYB senior). Added another silver forum bar, a ripple square and some copper coins (because of the dragon design ?) to my order. I really love the ripples on the square. It's a bit difficult to properly photograph, but it's a cool effect in the lighting.

Also received some gold...
Added a first to the gold sovereign collection. An 1866 Sydney Branch Mint Queen Victoria Australia One Sov.

An 1887 Jubilee Head (London Mint) Gold Sovereign from an eBay auction...
And a “lucky dip” 1957 Gold Sovereign from APMEX.
Overall a good spread of sovs added to the collection!

Hello, the 1911 proof sovereign arrived this week (same day as the 1911 1/2 sovereign but from a different dealer, I posted photos of that coin yesterday). The sovereign is a PR64CAM. 
In the same package was the 1991 sovereign, PCGS70DCAM, and a lovely 2005 1/2 sovereign.

Got this today. A 1964 proof 2 Rand coin. Didn't realise until bought it's exactly the same weight, thickness, purity and diameter as our sovereign. As you can see there is some copper spotting so it going off for conservation and grading. Love the design on it and nice alternative to a sov.

1908 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle, 1904 and 1905 Sovereigns, and an 1897 French Lucky Angel 20 franc.

Scrooge McDuck arrived in the post today but is destined for a work colleague who models himself on this character. I'll probably get myself a couple now I've seen one up close.

My 2010 American silver proof arrived today that I won on eBay. Didn't expect to win the bid but maybe because it wasn't listed with full details that it went unnoticed by most other buyers on the bay.

PGCS ms63 1918 Canadian. This year was badly treated and ms63 is as good as it gets apart from 1 single ms64 exception

A few pieces to continue the series i am collecting from Goldsilver.be , the lunar dog is a 1/2 oz .

A few pickups from the last few weeks. Starting with a nice piece of old Swiss gold together with a modern shiny Swan. The 10 francs Vreneli is not one you see so much of, compared to the 20 francs. 
Then some auction pickups. Nice haul of bullion Libertads in a mixed lot: happy to find some of the old and lowest mintages (1999 was second lowest year @95,000) and cool to see the transition from 1999 to 2000 in the Mexican coat of arms. In the same lot were a dozen Kookaburras - all in perfect shape. Most interesting was this 2008 in its original card. That happens to be my favorite Kook design ! 
A really characterful 8 reales from 1763 (with a chopmark in the globe), love these historical pieces. May not grade it though because NGC will probably find something to downgrade: these coins had a colorful life so i dont really care what the grade could be?.
Was after a different year (1860s)  - as i already have one, but picked up another 1870 Australian sovereign (this one probably better than my earlier one). 
Finally - at a price less than the going rate for the single proof, a 1989 double sov proof.  Did not realize how low (2,000) the mintage was - so hopefully these will go up over time.  This one is definitely headed to Numistacker for NGC??

And for a little play on words...also received a 2018 Rwanda 1 oz Silver Nautical HMS Endeavour Proof and accompanying five Rwanda 1 oz Silver Nautical HMS Endeavour BU.

Was going to get some good ole silver bullion but when push came to shove, just couldn’t do it. Walk in walk out. Old school. Reputable shop as always.
