First graded one i have seen. 

Just received my replacement 5 coin set, which only had an issue with the half sovereign previously.
Now all 5 coins are rubbish.
Scratches and dings across all of them. What the hell?!

Some people received their orders of the silver crowned britannias a week ago because one bullion dealer mistakenly sent them out before they were supposed to

Sure. Difficult to imagine from the photo but the big one is the 5 sov……all eyes fall on that, all others are secondary.

Just noticed on APMEX (USA), they're now selling the 1/4, 1/2, Whole Proof Sovereigns and the 3 and 5 coin sets.

Can't figure out exactly when this started but probably in the past 1-3 days if I'm guessing.

I'm debating a 4 coin set, they are still available, and I'd need to sell some shiny to afford it, but - it's only going to be all the returns and total shockers that are left now surely?
And I'm not even convinced that I really, really want one. I have the SotD, maybe I should just be happy with that - that was my plan after all.
But I can't shake the thought that maybe I should take a punt...Jeez this game is agony sometimes!

I had considered this, but why reward them? They keep releasing sub-standard coins for what is meant to be their flagship product!
As much as I want a perfect set, I'm gonna wait for the secondary market now.
I will continue to buy from the Mint, but any/all defects (from now on) are going back for a full refund.

Yes the Jubilee / memorial and the coronation sovereigns will coins that are sought after years from now. When you think how much sets such as the 1937 4 coin coronation set is worth @20k in good nick, and there was 5 and half thousand of them. The current sets are a 5th of that.
Having said that RM is going to struggle now to keep sales going at anything like these levels, most of what is coming up is going to be mundane. Not everyone likes Sci-fi and Music legends with 2 first names 😜

The SOTD case is an embarrassment! For a coin so important, historical, and expensive, this is just terrible.  The regular proof Sovereign comes in a very nice wood case.  Why doesn’t the SOTD come in a similar case, perhaps a darker wood to differentiate it?
On a side note, the coin was packed so tightly in the case that it was almost impossible to get out.  Plus, there was a tiny piece of plastic in the coin holder.  Had to open it and blow it out.  WTF??

Still waiting for my SOTD coronation sovereign from 6th May. Explain that one….

Let’s not forget the inevitable price hike too.
The prices have been steadily increasing with each release, as if the premiums on proofs aren’t already high enough, and I bet the RM will the raise prices of the Coronation Proof range too.
That’s another aspect that will work against this range.

I just found out that it looks like the individual proof sovereigns and sets will be released in June 2023, with the Piedfort Sovereign and Brilliant Uncirculated 5 Sovereign Piece to follow in July.
