Thanks but much as I like the 'special designs, I've found the 2008 / 2009 / 2010 / 2011 Brits show up at 'normal' prices if you keep your eyes open;
picked one up the other day basically at spot incl postage.
1 ozers are really out of my range, but where did you get spot?

Before the internet you can understand people being conned more but now a quick google shows the real price.
problem is that not everyone is as wise in the ways of pm or google or tinternet or even programming the sky box.
reckon the best way to fix it is to have every household have a 12 year old installed to explain tech and scams. there are times when even i need one to explain why bluetooth doesnt transfer files even though both devices say they are paired 🤪

£5 Buckingham Palace.£2 Birth of Winston Churchill.£2 National Gallery 200 years.50p R.N.L.I 200 years.50p Team G.B 100 years.rumours of a couple of others through the year that wont be in the year set - again.available in all the usual varieties of bunc, proof, silver, gold all delivered in time for 2026. it wouldnt surprise me that RM will carry on only offering the definitive in one set and the commemorative ones in another to boost the coffers that little bit more.PS finally got my new KC 23 definitive proofs today - look far better in the metal. -

the truth is sometimes one dealer has a special offer on and sometimes they dont. it all depends on when you look at them.
i say this as someone who has bought from both and have no skin in the game.
-
just hope they meant to put it in the tin and wasnt stuck in by someone with no clue.

I didn’t want to start a new thread for a quick question I have.
A youngster in the family got his first silver for his birthday a Silver eagle and a Celebration bar to get him started and he’s delighted, thing is he’s a mad cricket fan and I wanted to ask if anyone knows of any cricket themed 1oz rounds or bars????
a silverproof 10p Alphabet C? quite a few on ebay and regular coin facebook groups.

enjoy the post GP roadworks and traffic jams 😅
thats a heck of a trip for only a few days with the time difference. was there about 15 years ago and never had the pull to go back - apart from seeing a different bit of the canyon.

i am sure we had a similar thread on this last year but cant find it.
i think the consensus depending on where you mean was
uk = brits, maples, krugs/ase, roos/kooks
worldwide - ase, maples, brits, krugs with libertads due to the popularity in the us and pandas and oz roos/kooks
usa - ase, rounds, maples,

i like watching these guys, its amazing what we think as instant instead is just to fast to see.
also to a certain extent, those things are are too small to see- erosion, continental shifts etc
for some reason they have dropped out my utube alagorythmes recently.

No idea where they get this handling charge from as the sender has to pay them to deliver it. Basically thieves.
ryanair - charge for anything they possibly can. really surprised they havent introduced the coin slot for the toilets yet.

there are a couple posters who sell them on here but cant remember their names. edit - @arphethean
i think that its fair to say they fall under collectable / curiosity rather than genuine long term investment. for example you collect the different sizes and frame them or give them as a present. If you do a search there are quite a few threads and on Silverbacks as well.

maybe better putting a wanted thread in the buy / sell section?
