Yeh, i heard that too. Ive some how started collecting uncirculated 50p's so went for one. Thought they were for sale? Wouldn't let me but registered my interest (new to the RM site).

not a fan of it at all but found out I won the westminster 50p for 50p ballot, so will get it only because of that.  and RM are taking the michael at wanting £20 for a coloured bunc.

Is it just normal buncs you are collected or circulated as well?   I have a few dupes of both if you need some.

Interesting I will have a read up later.

I'm not much of a believer of silver running out, you kind of see this narrative all the time in most sectors (oil, gems, silver) and it always seems to be the people that make money from selling that product pushing the narrative.

take off the tinfoil silver hat and recycle it.  every little helps 🤣

yes indeed, i think we do need to look at recycling more silver, they do it with gold, i think silver wont be far behind, i think we have to continue to buy and stack if you can

according to a quick search, they already recycle about 55% of silver against 20% of gold.

if china is squealing about something being unfair, they mean to them.  F888 them.

on a wider note, the more recycling of tech the better.  the amount of increasingly rare elements in phones / tablets etc being thrown away is going to bite us very soon.  even if its only 0.1g  of it, the price tipping point will come at some point where its easier and cheaper to break old stuff down than dig it out.  But back to silver, just get folk to give up all the old golf trophies, knives, forks, retirement platters..............

Yeah, it's add a +1000 because of the five set. But still a nice low mintage for the two sovereign.

This may find a sweet spot the two in years to come, if spot is £2500-£3000 Oz and five sov proofs are out of reach for most

The 2 sovereign may be like a 5 sovereign, if  five years ago

how much will this be if spot goes that high?  😨

  5. phone your bank asap!

i think you are outside the time limit but if you say that they have delayed you making the claim due to them promising delayed delivery you might get away with it.

Premiums aren't excess profits. There is a fixed cost to make and supply the coin, by the time you add staff salaries and stuff in dealers honestly make very little on a 1oz silver coin. It's super frustrating, but it's more that spot price isn't a genuine reflection of the value of silver. BBP have a page exploring it in more detail - https://www.bullionbypost.co.uk/index/silver/why-are-silver-premiums-high/

Buying/selling privately you can get much closer to spot, but with such a cheap metal there's always going to be some spread to consider.

depends on the level of premium.

its like the whole PPI/insurance commission thing.  the courts decided there was an excess level that could lead to refunds. hence the ambulance chasers.   cant wait for everyone on the board to sign up to an advert going "MISSOLD SILVER? PAID TOO MUCH PREMIUM?  CALL US NOW ON 0800 XXXXxxx or WWW.WE WILL CHARGE YOU 75% OF OUR WINNINGS.COM

    🤣

Apologies for the late reply but I found myself clicking on the non-PM section out of curiosity when searching for the Today I Received section.

Yes, I’ve got the 10p A to Zs (base metal) stashed somewhere. Bought them uncirculated from the Royal Mint at the time on a whim.

Are you missing any or after the lot, or perhaps you were just making polite conversation?

are they the loose coins or on the RM cards?  I still need some.

To a casual collector of bullion sovereigns for mainly asset diversification like myself, it’s hard to keep track of what’s out there.

Having decided to steer clear of proof collecting and divested what Proof’s I had to focus purely on bullion, whenever I log in and see news of new sovereigns, it plays havoc with my OCD trying to cover what’s there for date runs. One sovereign coin per year from 2024 please would be great for me. I love boring coins 🙂

    and the different threads...

maybe some more merging by mods is required?
