Nice collection of Bank of England notes. I picked up a stack of 50+ Of those Green £1 notes at an auction for a future punt.  … cost me a lot less than current value due to inflation! I think I paid less than £100… but let’s think what you could buy with £50 in 1960’s.

Not unlike an expectant father again, I’ve anxiously waited for this Sixpence to arrive from the USA, it having been held to ransom by the courier, initially demanding 20% HMRC VAT/Duty.
Now it has finally landed, I don’t think I have ever been so thrilled to receive a coin.
An exceptional example of a Charles I (1625- 1649) Sixpence. Briot’s First Milled issue 1631-32 mm Flower & B. obv. His crowned bust left with falling lace collar and VI behind.  Rev. Square topped shield/ long cross dividing arms. 2.99g, 26mm,  Spink 2855
I feel fortunate to own this lovely Sixpence, I’m not sure I’ll find another 400 year old coin in such condition.

Just a first taste of my overall collection. A bit of a pain to get these in Singapore but still Love them, milk spots and all!

Only been stacking a few months so not got much of a stack yet. Gonna stack gold now and have a sovereign coming in the post. 

The Stack is slowly building - I love those old coins - 1884 Sov.

Managed to get this for 15% below spot, happy days! Also my oldest half sovereign by about 100 years.

Today I received this nice 1913 US Indian Head Eagle. Not a rare specimen but it is in nice AU condition with great lustre. 
I pick these up from time to time but alas, never manage to hang on to them long. The gravitational pull of the US market is too strong, and their appetite for their pre33 gold coins knows no limits! So this coin, I am certain, will soon find its way into a trade with a US collector somewhere, somehow! But is mine to enjoy for the time being 😁
