Honestly MrB I know there is some damn clued up people here, I cant help but feel a financial advisor might be just wasting money. If i had a ton of cash to protect I probably would do, I think most would laugh at me right now lol.

Sincere commiserations Foster - This potential issue exactly what I was trying to explain in my earlier post/s in this thread.
It's made worse since Covid stopped buyers having to sign, which by now should have been.
If you wish to get anywhere, you should open a case against ebay in the small claims court - only costs £25-00
    - then look for threads and make some noise in their community sellers forum and also you may consider emailing Martin Lesis at https://www.moneysavingexpert.com
If enough people take this route, maybe ebay will be forced to change somehow.
I wish you well - under the circumstances - for me such things become more about the principle than the lost money often.

I’ve completley stopped selling anything through eBay now. I sold something, not precious metals, but to the value of £100.
I contacted the seller to say it had been dispatched. The seller replied and thanked me for notifying them of the date it would arrive. Items dispatched and the tracking shows dispatched.
Four weeks later, I received an email from eBay informing me that the buyer had opened a chargeback from their bank and the reason given as “Tge seller does not recognise the transaction”. I supplied the tracking information to eBay and proof of delivery, eBay took the funds automatically and refunded the buyer.
I’ve lost the goods and £100!! This is still ongoing and I’ve now reported this buyer for fraud. eBay were useless to help and to make matters worse charges me £14 to issue the funds the took back to the buyer. I would never sell anything through eBay again.

Great response - very little I could add except for following my belief in "Bad money pushes out good" - as referred in "Greshams Law" :

I am hoping, like you, this is what the millennials and also generation X & Z buyers wanting to change the world will both understand and follow.

Exactly - my friend selling gold jeweler etc, etc, has even had items returned in different boxes - and that's before we even start talking about the item itself ..........

I usually think in USD, as I bought a lot of USD in 2007 at almost 2:1, and am now getting out of the balance left - some via Silver & Gold.
I'd be happy with a slow climb to the $45 area, but hoping North of $50 - so about £35- £38 as an average would suit me fine.

    I have not handed over my bank details because, unless I'm mistake, it's basically a direct debit;
meaning, yes - great, you get paid within 2 days, but on the downside, if a dispute starts with some scammer (and there's plenty), eBay always side with the buyer, so the money can be pulled even faster to some crooked buyer and you get your item (or something substituted) and you're stuffed.
I found the way to stop  a lapse in the £1 weekend offers, is to put up just one item 'as normal' - once they see selling activity, the offers start again.

That is not a good sign of quality customer service, keep them separate to avoid those kinds of mistakes and if you must then update the 9nline before selling the coins physically.

Housing in itself is not the main cost of new or existing houses; the land represents the biggest % of property value/s
    - God stopped making land many years ago; thereby more limited in supply than Gold ..... 😉
GBP Gold price/s are thereby currently following that similar rarity, the current (and I suspect short/medium future) premiums accordingly due to the run over the last year.

When did £29 notes become a good price for 1oz bullion. Now on almost 40pc above spot. Crazy times.
