I don’t mind buying the odd proof on this site but I just can’t bring myself to buy them from the royal mint.  I worry that I will get it wrong and lose big time. Other than that I buy sovereign or 1/2 sovereign as I think 1/4 oz are harder for casual collectors to work out.  While the members of this site will get the differences, the general public absolutely won’t. Then if I had to move them on quickly for any reason (walking into a lawn shop) I might find it a wee bit harder. 

I was looking at bullion half's today as well, the price from some dealers has now jumped to £217 from £197 and out of stock at some dealers now.

Yes just 'SOLD OUT' Britannia Coins, had one in my basket all day, after sad news went ahead and ordered one.

Here is the latest, you can get a live price now that gold has gone back down but you now get this message
'We have temporarily stopped trading Bullion. If you are registered with The Royal Mint, you will receive an email when were back online' 
As soon as they let me sell will be pulling it all out as this is a scam, letting you sell if it makes a loss but not when you make a profit is a disgrace.
Lucky I only dipped my toe in to see if it was a good product, would be mad if I had a large investment, lesson learnt stack the real stuff😊

If you have Digital Gold you can't sell it at the moment, its been down since yesterday morning when price of gold increased. I'm still unable to sell this morning even though its gone down.
Don't know if it affects physical bullion or just digital

If gold goes down and it starts working won't be too happy, Don't want to sell now but not fit for purpose if it stops working when its high.

Didn't get that message, at least they are aware of the problem, probably having a mare as those not selling will be trying to get out of fiat and buying.
