  1. I'm expecting the kids to still be at home when I'm getting ready to retire... unfortunately 😞 As to who will buy... on paper we have asset's but when it get's this bad what will a correction be.. 30%, 40%, 60%? fortunately we have a buffer, I'm brutally honest - it's monopoly money until in hand.
  2. Agreed, with x3 teenagers who will be at home for some years yet, it's not so simple as to sell up and possibly downsize aka mortgage free. I've been increasing our overpayments year on year ready for a rate rise so when my fixed rate ends and it goes up; i) We have a nice reserve which should remain, a rainy day buffer or ideally to reduce the term, ii) It will also absorb a hefty rate increase as we're already used to higher premiums, it will obviously reduce overpayments short term. Fortunately our LTV is already circa 25% which opens some better deals for when the time comes...
  3. I started purchasing last April, spot was 1280.61 on the day of my first purchase, currently it's in the 1360's, other forum members will put these figures to shame from when they started... It may go down or continue to increase, abet slowly but it's a long term wealth preservation/investment/diversification/savings plan. For for me it's just an enjoyable hobby to both collect and stack with the odd trade along the way. As long as I can afford it and nothing major impacts me beyond other savings & investments it's something the next generation will be gifted and to decide what to do with. As to wait or buy, it's very much both a transactional and personal decision on what you can afford/like and what you can continue to 'invest'. Also, once you start seeing it in grams and tOz's rather than just currency you tend to want to round it to the nearest tOz, 5, 10 etc. Personally, I aim for small regular purchases either on a dip or if a deal pops up and I haven't already spent my pocket money, generally that means Sovereigns.
  4. Thinking of getting one of these for a set of the 1/4 Bu Tudor Beasts.
  5. You just need to include the 2016 and that's my current set of grails.
  6. I've finally given in, call it FOMO or whatever, going back and fourth - I've hit the button on the 1oz Ag Proof repeater whilst available. I suspect the option maybe dropped once the Lion is released... If they are inferior coins, wort's & all as many have faced I'll return and cancel the subscription... here's hoping not and the issues are being resolved.
  7. Went onto the RM website - couldn't see anything new for the Lion after waiting in the queue system for the FA Cup.
  8. I also got a call out of the blue this morning from @BleyerBullion that my Sov is being dispatched today. It was so out of the blue when they stated is was Bleyer calling regarding my order I was like who? 😂 Just wanted to say thank-you again for the courtesy in calling me and in honoring the orders 👍
  9. Welcome, you've come to the right place to learn, and to quickly empty your wallet 😆
  10. Did they drop the EU equivalent of VAT? They really need to consider adding a UK distributer...
  11. Don't start, you'll set@HerefordBullyun off again 😆
  12. Exactly what I'm holding out for... I'll be going for 1/4oz gold when they show up, meanwhile it's SO tempting to hit the button for the 1oz silver proof repeater.
  13. Fine by me, keeps my 1 per month going while I'm still recovering 😅
  14. Oh. My. Word! Holy wowzers, congratulations on receiving that stack
  15. Due to the recent Silver purchase and subsequent jump?
  16. Finally got my Sov today from Harrington & Byrne, now waiting on the next from Bleyer's... ...2022 has been an expensive year already with the proof coins as well 🙈🙉🙊
  17. Nothing from the postie today, hopefully tomorrow 🤞
  18. Checked my account this morning, no change but now is also showing as complete so assume it changed today.
  19. I'm sure the same was thought regarding the 2002, 2005, 2012 etc... all now have a premium to some extent vs. other bullion years. I only started stacking last year so have to pay the premiums from dealers or individuals alike if I want any of these. As others start stacking in the future the 2022 will be similar, any coins I'm buying this year and to some extent early next will be 2022 for this reason and in a few years time...
