I think the whole gold being confiscated angle is overplayed.  Times have moved on significantly since the days of the gold standard when the average joe held some gold.
Now only a small % of the population hold any significant amount of gold and those holding the most control the system so why shoot yourself in the foot?
 
Far easier to call a bank holdiday then perform a haircut over a certain threshold, acceptible to the masses of sheep as its only the "rich" getting hit as done in Cyprus 2012/13.

The markets rose on news of the 0.5% rate cut and used it as an opportunity to get out. Best stock market ever.

The Fed says the cut is b/c of coronavirus - you know the cover story for the disintegrating USD-Treasury complex.  Foreigners are still dumping Treasuries - they are still not buying them - the world is still rejecting the USD - nothing has changed - the bus has been driven over the edge - a crash landing is impossible to avoid. 
Carry on stacking lads - you know it makes sense.

Fed just announced a 50bps rate cut.  Gold shooting for the moon again.

Just sold 8oz today @£1260 spot - my first ever sale - money is going towards another investment which unless gold doubles in price in the next few months will be more lucrative . I averaged just under £300 per oz profit which I’m happy to take. It leaves me with a still sizeable stack, which i will certainly be looking to increase over my lifetime but sometimes you have to strike while the irons hot and be thankful that when you decide to free up some capital you are doing so with a handsome profit.

it's gonna go up to £1300 again on Monday morning

As anticipated - price hit the other side of my Andrew's fork and as i said i expected a pull back. There is blood in the water now. There are so many plates spinning the usual suspects don't have the ability and resources to keep them all spinning. Notice the indices are recovering as gold falls - selling one to buy the other. Oh the tears when it all finally unwinds. 
Stack your gold and stack your food - ensure you can get water and then watch the spectacle in the Colosseum. 

What about recent events with Glint?
Peoples funds frozen, no access to fiat or metals owned for some time.  Turned out ok after several weeks but could have just as easily gone the other way.
Its suprising how many historic conspiracy theories actually turned out to be true.

How much are you actually saving after factoring storage and transaction fees on bullion vault.
The other positive in physical gold is price increase above spot with queens beasts for example, or if you were super lucky una .

I would rather buy a 1oz krugerrand at  £1281.95 that I can hold in my hand than a promise at £1271.82, the old saying goes, "if you can't hold it, you don't own it".

Visited my safety deposit box today and put the recently acquired Gold with the rest of the Gold stack. Don't visit Safety Deposit box that often maybe once a year and took opportunity to take some photos. Gold bullion occupying 25% space in the box the remainder family jewellery. Still enough room in the box to add another 40 oz Gold in Royal Mint tubes to finish off Queens Beasts series.

Here's pretty much my full stack as it currently stands.  Mostly gold, but with 30 oz of silver and 2 oz of platinum.
No more additions for me now until next year, when I aim to finish of the Queen's Beasts in 1/4 oz and 1 oz gold bullion and add a 2020 sovereign.  Anything else will be an impulse or value buy!

This is my entire gold and silver stack. The candy cane is a complimentary gift from Chards when I ordered some silver Koalas. I don’t want to spoil the fun by revealing all my coin collection. Anyone keeping up with my other posts will get a good idea what the air-tite tubes contain when I showcase the actual coins themselves at various times. This took me a year and a half to stack.

Condensed Silver stack down now. Probably will keep it at this as its too heavy to transport. 

Only looking to add the 2012 and victoria anniversary sovs to this i think. Then it will just be bullion sovs going forward.
Have the new lion in the post on the way. Will then get the last 2 and that will be me. Probably just brits going forward.
