  1. Well only went for the 1/2 sov...got to checkout and said 'Payment not authorised ' tried again...same message...checked my account 2 x £315 paid to the RM??? Still showed in my cart so completely confused..Rang the RM..they couldnt see any payments, rang my bank asked why 2 payments had gone out? They blamed the RM...After going back n forth have to wait to see if payments go through then wait for a refund for one payment. RM said they have reserved and put one aside for me  until the confusion is sorted..Not holding my breath on that, just have to wait n hope....not a great day....cest la vie..

  2. Didn't get to sign on til 08:55 as overslept but was surprised to only have 85 infront of me🙂 got to put my orders in but between the RM and my bank they managed to **** it up...double payments went out pending!!!! My bank and RM blaming each other..no confirmation of any coins😡 just the same mess as always.....

So for a bit of extra fun...what's the issue numbers to look out for?

2022, 2021, 70, 95 ? Any of these  add value do you think?

No......it comes down to individual opinions and preferences.......most of  the time...what some people like, others don't.....only another 9 1/2 hours to go....😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆

The 1989 issue was almost a flop.

I think many seasoned sovereign collectors wanted St. George and the Dragon.

The Royal Mint failed to sell out the issue limit, which is why the actual mintage is lower. *

There are many more sovereign collectors nowadays.

    * It might have been because @ChardsCoinandBullionDealer were not actively involved in new issues in those days, which is a pity, because we might have been sitting on some old stock. 😎

Shame you didn't stash some....I think the 1989 reverse is the best so far...It was probably a risk on the RM's part but paid off in the end..

I’ve been following this thread with great interest and will most likely be getting as frustrated as everyone else with RM website on monday morning.

Can anyone tell me if there was this much interest when the 2002 and the 2012 Jubilee sovereign was released?

    Some and none..Best  I can say....more interest in the 1989 and 2017 I think....

Yes we have 25 customers on our cancellation list, and just 2 orders not completed as yet.

There is just no way the Mint's system is not going to go bang on Monday morning.

As I said I just cannot remember this amount of interest in any new coin, even the engravers series doesn't have such wide appeal.

I hope people who buy them make some money on them, but I don't want to see them up on auction sites for double the launch price.

Neither do I and alot of people....but we all know there are going to be people who are lucky enough to purchase these coins and put on ebay for hundreds of £'s more than they purchased them for..imo they are ......well I won't say,  they know who they are and what they are ..👹👹👹👹👹💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩

What do we thing a sov will go for AFTER they are all sold from RM at 9.01am on Monday?

Between £200 to £400 on ebay..maybe more depending on the mintages...by the greedy bunch of FLIPPERS... haha....but I'm keeping mine if I'm lucky enough to get anything.....

I have tried to get on to the £1 listings they do from time to time but you will find coins are normally exempt from the scheme.

We use the site as shop window and hope to win customers over to our website where we can charge much fairer prices. In time we hope anyone ho buys from us on that site will more than make up for one lose.

It does upset me when people think its us taking advantage when the only winner is the auction site. Example 2021 Gandhi Gold Proof on that site for £2990 RRP is £2440, but we lose £450 in fees and it costs £15-25 to post it.

That's a rip off by ebay....I'm not in your league..I'm not a dealer..I sell only when I get a promotion from ebay....otherwise I don't put anything on for sale as I refuse to pay their fees on a normal non promotion offer.

So why would you sell  when there isn't a promotion offer on? You have to increase the price to get the fees back....to me that doesn't make sense..and the buyers have to pay your fees to cover your costs..I'm not being negative against you I'm just curious as to why you do this..

    Regards.

You have to bear in mind that fleabay charge @16% in fees so a 5k set needs to sell for 5750 just to get the same back. I would always encourage buyers to shop around and avoid buying via online auction sites as the costs are prohibitory expensive. A 5 coin set would need to be nearly 5.5k just to get back the RRP.

That's True.....ebays fees are disgusting....what I'm trying to get across is..all those who don't realise they can go to dealers and  of course pay a marginal increase over the issue price..go on ebay and pay around 16% more for the privilege instead of going to the dealer.

That's there mistake but dealers take advantage of the world wide selling market on fleabay to advertise their products and mark up their PM's to get back the selling fees when most take advantage of ebays £1 max selling fee's or 80% off final selling fees bit don't pass that onto the buyers...Its business but not good business in my view.

In fairness to @Allgoldcoins I believe they guarantee they wont be more expensive than the royal mint??

I'm not saying that..what I'm saying with confirmation certain dealers sell all kinds of Gold/Silver coins on EBAY....for higher prices than the do on their own websites....and that comes down to chancing their arms that they will get more money for their PM's especially from overseas buyers than they would on their websites...its a fact....I don't agree with this exploitation of gullible buyers but to an extent I can understand their practice.....Get as much money as you can for your merchandise...

As I said previously on this thread we had an allocation of 2022 Proof Sovereigns which we offered for pre-sale. We are not selling items we have not already secured and actually paid for.

I am not going to accuse any respected bullion dealers of any misconduct or profit taking.  I have though observed dealers advertising certain coins and sets on Fleabay for over £1000 more than they are selling on their websites..mentioning no names....which I find despicable and unprofessional....but that's the way of the world...making money and taking advantage of gullible buyers who will pay without doing research to the fact they could purchase these PM's cheaper if they took the time to do some research.....more fool them.

    Regards.

I'm guessing it all comes down to mintages..its going to be a special coin but if the RM flood the market with proofs, surely it will devalue the coin??

From comments and threads it seems Allgoidcoins has obtained some inside information as to the design and mintage of the coins and denominations as they have been taking pre-orders for over a week now.. which would be risky if they didn't have some information about this release.....could be wrong but with comments that I've read and the fact AGC are taking pre-orders makes one suspicious that they have alledgedly been informed of the upcoming release of these sovs,or taking a gamble....or do have inside information on these sovs..if I was a gambling man which I'm not....I'd know which one I'd be placing my money on....🤔🤔🤔

  13. I'm not that fussed about the 2022 platinum jubilee sov tbh.....after Monday.....when the hype is over everyone will be talking about the Gothich crown release... dont get me wrong I will be trying to get some denomination of the 2022...but I think the real collectors will be more focused on the GC.....For those who have the funds to buy the 2022 sets, proof sovs etc good luck and wish you well..personally I'm waiting and holding my money back for the GC's....I believe they will be more desirable and sought after much more  than the sov on Monday.....🙂

Perhaps the design will be unappreciated, like 1989, and it won’t sell out 😂😆

Guess we won't know until Monday if it's a good deal, price and mintage wise compared to the 2002/2005/2012/2017...saying that Gold spot prices were lower.....if like me and don't have the funds like others on here...I'm not sure which one I will purchase...that time of year..we have the Platinum gold sovereign - Silver platinum jubilee 50p coming out... and in a few weeks the Great Engravers Gothic Crown, plus Christmas its going to be an expensive couple of months for some..others who have the funds, well won't matter to them..lucky people 😀 😉 😊 😄
