You have listed the top two in the list of worst dealers there so I should probably have said some dealers, my bad
BBP customer service can be good but they are overly expensive and have a habit of sending out poor quality goods, which I have picked up from reading posts on this forum.  theKoinclub is not one I have ever ordered from but similarly have a terrible reputation.  For proofs I would only ever deal with Chards, Atkinsons, CoTR and possibly Britannia Coins.  I would also consider Gerrard's & ATS but never having ordered anything other than bullion from them I cannot comment on their QC process.  Like you I only ever ordered from RM for proofs and high value items but stopped ordering from them completely when I had to send back 4 coins in a row, all silver from either the Queens Beast or Monarchs series'.  I spoke to Chards, CoTR and Atkinsons to ask how they check their new release proofs and all have a strict QC process and all will return them to RM for replacement if they are not up to standard.  Since then I have only ever ordered from those three and without ever receiving a single bad coin 

I wouldn't assume all retailers are great - just sent a memorial half sovereign back to BBP today which had a very visible mark on the obverse that a twenty second check with the naked eye would have spotted. I've also had to return faulty Tudor beast coins from the theKoinclub who have then only given me a refund as  they lacked the stock to exchange which is frustrating. Its why I tend to buy from RM if I can as you can at least insist on an exchange if its a key release (although it becomes wearing after you've sent the same coins back for the 14th time)!

Only took 2 weeks! Can be 4-6 weeks sometimes.
Is the packaging slightly excessive? 5 boxes, like opening a Russian doll, or 'pass the parcel'!

Got to say, i quite like it in matt 

It been talked about for months and been available in other countries (so a few popping up at auctions / online sites here and there) but only released in the UK this week 

I completely forgot I subscribed to this series then got the email with the overpriced coin which then apparently will be back down to normal price with a refund issue. Fine, whatever. Now the coins arrive but no box. Am I the only one pissed off about this? I signed up originally with an agreement the box would be received with the second coin. That didn't happen with them citing production delays but it would come with the third coin. That now hasn't happened. Their general sloppyness with pricing and general inability to deliver what they say they are going to deliver are unacceptable. At this point I think I'm up to more negative experiences ordering things from the mint than positive.

Just heard back from them and apparently still being made and will be sent out but they don't seem to know when 

I sent them an email about the price because I bought the series of 1oz silver coins and it said £95 per coin.  This is the response I got back.  Glad I only pay £95, but not sure if that means everyone who paid the higher price gets a refund even if it wasn’t part of the the full series order
 

Yes just after midnight (they were keen!)

Couldn't see it on my orders this morning so assumed it's under the existing 10 coin collection order although I got a generic email saying my coins are on their way. RM's order system is a shocker though so who knows! The last email back in Feb said it would be with the 3rd coin....
