This isn't meant to cast any shade towards BullionVault
But, 2 companies in America have got caught duping customers:
    https://coinweek.com/argent-first-state-depository-to-pay-146-million-for-precious-metals-fraud/
I think the old adage "If You Don't Hold It, You Don't Own It" is paramount.
Especially as a lot of companies have been gorging themselves on cheap debt for over a decade, the rising interest rates will expose a lot of poor businesses in the coming years.

I heard about this elsewhere, anything like PM's with consequential value often attracts this type of behaviour sadly.

Money is kind of like energy, it doesn't get used, it gets converted. Spending cash by buying silver or gold is not losing money, simply converting it to another form.

She would often clip me around the ear for doing stuff that she didn't know about but knew that I would be up to mischief of some sort. She didn't know what I did but she knew that I did it :-). She also hammered into me as a child the sentence "don't trust grown ups" and I have never done so.
So I don't trust grown ups , and I find it amazing that people do, so I would never, ever, trust a vault to look after my precious metals. I thought that I might be paranoid but reassured now that I have come across this Youtube video

Just came away from Perth and Chaos Council after paying a parking fine for a mate. I called the Council and asked if they accepted legal tender and, six hours later, they called back and said that they did. I paid the fine with a tenner and two Winston Churchill £20 coins. They were delighted. No one had seen a £20 coin before.

in 2020 we saw the extent to which the public adults and old people (that should be wise) act off emotion & depend on external sources to make decisions.
Very dangerous indeed - I'm 40 and have worked very hard to free myself & now im out of the box I cant believe how thick everyone is.

Maybe thats a bit harsh - trusting and obedient to thier conditioning & dead to thier inner self & ignorant to intuitive knowing..

I accept what pro silver pourers say but, i am sorry to say, that the results just leave me cold. I will leave it there, i don't want to criticise further what is clearly a well liked craft.

I buy govt issued silver coins (both bullion and old circulated) as do most on here. In addition to being a store of wealth, they can often be beautiful to look at as part of a collection. I would say I’m a collector more so than a stacker in that sense. I’m not prepping for Armageddon; I just enjoy the beauty of silver coins (and gold of course) and enjoy collecting them. The fact that they hold some intrinsic value in the form of precious metals is important as they will always be worth SOMETHING even if it’s just spot price. Other “collectibles” often wind up being worthless after a fad dies down but coins are an exception.

That said, I’m curious as to why sterling flatware doesn’t get more love from the overall silver community. I realize it’s only .925 fine but it is still sellable (often times close to spot and sometimes more for desirable patterns). Also, it’s practical. It’s something that can be used and enjoyed everyday so there is the usage value of it as well. All our flatware is sterling and we use it daily, put it in the dishwater, etc. So even if I needed to sell some of it years from now and only got spot for it, I was using and enjoying it for possibly decades as well.

With the extremely high premiums on many silver coins, I was thinking about this lately. Preowned silverware can often be found with less premiums than coinage/govt bullion and you get the added value of being able to use it. We all needs forks and spoons after all.

I am quite simple in my approach. The money I spend on silver is pin money that I have no use for. I buy silver because it is beautiful whereas gold (at least to me) is ugly and clunky. I also think that gold is way overpriced. I see a concerted effort to force the price down long before it goes boom. Besides, the silver is my grandkids inheritance.
