When I first discovered that it was possible to conceal gold bars in your anus, well it was the best thing I'd ever come across.
It was like a revelation...I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but I wanted to.

i was joking with you HH.
"Due to my very modest holdings i am unbiased and objective when it comes to silver.
HH always loves to smear silver at every touch and turn. He should learn to use gloves when handling precious metals."
i am NOT unbiased about silver - i feel sure you know i am a silver fruit and nut case. So straight away you should realise i am taking the piss out of myself. The whole post was a joke.
There was a point in time when i was adding gold - i think that lasted about a year b/c i recognised i was so out of line i really needed more gold but now i have slipped back into my old ways.
i have stated a long time ago i held a lot of silver. i have never sold any. i have it vaulted now which i think is best these days. i own over 1/3 tonne of physical silver. i am still looking to add more.
i know you hold a completely different point of view to me on a number of things and that is fine. i think you are wrong but hey you think i am wrong and that is absolutely fine. Between us we must have some of it right.

Yep - all by design. i have bought bits of silver for my daughters - they just aren't interested. By the time that generation clocks on to the true value of precious metal it would be too late for most of them - lucky for mine their dad has a big treasure chest. Sadly of course it was all lost in a tragic boating accident and in any case it was going to the dogs' home other than 2 coins over my eyes for the Ferryman.

Perhaps, when the Chards work experience lad returns from searching Blackpool for three no longer required sovereigns, he could put all of these results into a table for us?! 😂
It would also be interesting to see how our views are influenced by the spot price.  Perhaps our mood too...
History, I think, shows us that in times of economic difficulty we head for Gold... It'll be the same now.

It too heavily controlled to stay up artificially on short sales I think, although is has a lot of publicity and momentum, I have some silver on Ebay and its being bid up already.
Who knows. Its holding resistance nicely at the moment.

I initially lost £170 on GameStops colossal nose dive, but made £350 yesterday just playing the uptrends of first majestic as you get a 3 second lead watching the silver price live.
I seriously dont think the pleb traders all realise that (i include myself in that description btw), its like a cheat sheet is it runs almost exactly to the spot price, so you get a decent heads up before it turns.

I woke up 10 mins late today and lost £100 in 4 seconds as it nose dived. Too late to get on the shorts so missed out on some ready nice returns from the other direction too!!!  It will be interesting to see what happens when the US market opens & after the comex does its job, yesterday was a roller coaster, I have a suspicion it will be in the opposite direction. Either way its a win win for me as I can make money from both.

I certainly dont think its reaching £50 an ounce any time soon.

I just stuck 1000 Britannias into the cart on the GS.BE website to see if they are selling at bulk.  Seems they are but something odd happened.  Prior to putting them in the cart, their page said they are selling for US $32.53.  But immediately I put them in the cart the price jumped to $32.80.

50 million shares in GameStop turned over on Friday and there were restrictions in place. That's about $16 billion. They talk about a billion ounces of silver being available. i do not believe that it is that much by a long chalk. They are counting my silver etc and silver in ETF's. My silver is unobtainium and the silver in ETF's should not be available.
On the big day for Game Stop i heard over $80 billion in shares turned over.
There is so much leverage in the precious metal markets a concerted effort by any group with the resources targeting physical silver, it would blow the silver market sky high. i expect they would shut the market down. i don't think they could do anything else. If shorts had to unwind the leverage out there >>100 to 1, paper to physical, it would explode. They know this, they know it is a timebomb.
As i used to say back in the dark days of silver, when members were crying about what a bad investment it was and how they were losing - i would say - it is not a matter of if, it is simply a matter of when the price of silver goes much higher. Then i would smile to myself, double down and buy some more silver. It is so terrible it was all lost in a tragic boating accident.

    To short a stock:
Borrow shares from your broker, immediately sell them at the current market rate, lets say £10 share, this drives the price down (or as a PI without millions to play with you judge it when you think a share is going to tank) When the market bottoms, buy the shares back at lets say £5 a share Give the shares back to the broker, position closed. You pocket £5 a share with Gamestop:
Hedgefund took a massive short (i.e. borrowed a lot of stock and sold it), driving the price down, the share capitulates as stops are triggered etc and the share sinks even lower. Funds can hold these positions for a long time sometimes, trying to drive the price even lower before they close. (destroying PI's, companies, pension funds etc on the way) Reddit guys decided to go on a massive buy run, pushing the price of the share up, fast and so far past the entry point (sell point) of the hedge fund that they exceeded the value of the entire hedge fund at $13.1bn at one point. The hedge fund hung on hoping the the price would crash again, it didn't Hedgefund eventually gave up it's position and started buying the stock back to give back to the broker, pushing the share price up even further. With silver ( or gold or btc for that matter)
as discussed in this thread, some of the large funds, banks etc have held PM back for a longtime by selling heavy (going short) for many reasons (and lots of other dirty tricks), assuming you take the position PM should have gone up a lot more than it has for many reasons. There's a big pump going on now all over social media to try and push silver to the point that these big funds need to start buying the silver back as it would cross the point they loaned it and sold it at, as was the case with GameStop. who knows, it may happen, only takes for one big fund to get shaky, especially after what happened this past week and start closing their position and this then increase the price and causes more to close (buy) so on and so forth - its very much the opposite of what the financial institutions have been doing to PI's for years.  I might not have all the details totally right, but this it a basics of it...
