Second that Danny-Boy, thanks Paul for taking the time for that. The guy had about three trays of ten priced at £2200 each, I got the feeling he would have gone to about £2050 no problem and anything after that would have been hard work. It's a new shop,in an area I seldom visit, used to be an H&T pawnbrokers according to google street but just called discount jewellery now, was walking past and lured in by the glittering front window! I know the price of gold, and I know its a different colour to silver and that's about it, so once again thanks for that post.

If I had the cash, i'd be quietly watching this auction and keeping my fingers crossed I could snap it up. But unfortunately my cars's MOT comes first, so I'm giving you guys a heads up.

It's a poorly worded auction, but its a 2002 Shield back half sov. No bids so far but a start of £150, but here is the kicker, it looks very much like a proof coin if I'm not mistaken, but it does not say so in the auction.

It was posted over 17 hours ago. Still had over 10 hours left when I had a look.

HGM have 1/10, 1/4, 1/2 and full Britannia up, I haven't called, but I bet it's a broken up proof set they couldn't sell in one piece.

The quarter ounce I bought and received today. It looks like a proof to me but no expert and little to compare to. The raised images are frosted with a high shiny background. It came in a screw type cap, similar to ones in pictures of proof sets I have seen. The good news is it is a 2007 , the year my youngest was born so he will get it.

I did post before the auction...in fact I posted ELEVEN hours before it ended. In the end no-one bought it, and it has been re-listed.

Please note I have posted this 9 days and 23 hours or so before it ends.. ;)

The full britannia was a beautiful 2007 proof, thank you for the heads up.

Ah! I thought it would be proof but didn't think a year with a unique design

I wish I picked up the 1/4 or 1/2 now  -_-
