I just received an email from Atkinsons regarding the new 2021 Britannia being released 

I have to say it looks very smart I will definitely  be getting a tube or 2 of these

Looks great, much more detail on the shield from 2020’s! Think I prefer the speckled look.

I just checked the Royal mint its definitely  the bullion for 2021

I think maybe the other site may have been photo-shopped maybe to get interest early ?

I hope not, I really like the above design, hopefully it’s what they use for the bullion version!

Anyone seen any decent prices for pre order yet? £29ish excl delivery at RM & €26.21 at Europa Mint excl delivery! Europa mint seems reasonable with small discount for bulk.

These new Britannias have certainly been generating a lot of buzz in the bullion buying community. The Royal Mint focused heavily on counterfeit prevention for these new 2021 releases. They added four new security features to the gold and silver Britannias for 2021. Interestingly, the Royal Mint used a picosecond laser to apply these features. This laser has a wide range of use in industries like tattoo removal and other dermatological treatments.

The four new features include: a wave-patterned background that “animates” when you move the coin, tincture lines on the shield, a security mark inside a circle on the reverse that alternates between a trident and a padlock as you tilt the coin, and a laser-etched micro text inscription (DECUS ET TUTAMEN) that repeats inside the main border.

We are very interested in hearing what coin collectors think of this new enhanced design. Would it make you feel more secure in your purchase?

I didn’t even know about the milk spot problem until recently. Then I rechecked my stack of 2020 Britannia’s and sure as you like, covered in spots. Super happy

I’ve ordered a couple of these from Silver Trader. They have a multi buy discount and free delivery.

I couldn’t find them anywhere cheaper for buying just a few.

Yep, for stacking purposes. 

I've seen mention of "milky spots" a few times today. What causes them? (never mind just watched a video)
