yeah had a nose and registered for the auction, nice to have the video feed of auctioneer, but the user experience i not wonderful
But prefer auctionmobility platform (coincabinet/coinoftherealm use) - make it a nice experience viewing and bidding
The zero commission sales is a major plus for buyers, hammer price is what you pay much prefer that to old fashioned buyers premiums being added
Probably a big reason why coincabinet sales have gone so well and are popular

Still a great price but must admit thought it would break 70k. The only thing is the UX of the auction isn’t great in a number of ways such as the pagination rather than infinity scroll, I couldn’t even register on iOS so I do wonder if that pushed a few buyers off. It’s also a new auction and others show that the first few auctions take a while to build up a base

This will be a great one to watch too, no doubt this will end up 70k +

Interesting to see how the Graces do at the Sovereign rarities auctions today...
5oz Gold is strong touching almost £50k including the 24%(inc vat) buyers fees - it's also the first graded example Ive seen in auction.
2oz Gold at £32,240 - I imagine this will hit 40+
2oz silver currently at £3720 - looking likely to beat the previous sale price at TCC

That one on eBay I know a few people who have had issues with the seller and impaired coins so that maybe why...
The 2oz on sovereign rarities 2oz gold is currently at over £31k if you include the fees.

thanks @sovtsf never realised that, never dealt with them before
looking at sovereign rarities looks like things are starting to pick up with bids, see the Una & Lion 2oz gold is at £44k already
Gonna be an interesting next five days as both auctions ends

My experience of buying at auction is the buyer will take the premium into account so if the target price is 6k they will bid the target price minus the commission and that will be the hammer price.

2oz silver up to 3k. Which I find surprising (positively) at this point.

Yep works on chrome on desktop, thats a bad bug SR need to fix as a lot of people are out and about when auctions last for hours and they will loose bids if that doesn't work

Especially if people start to want a set as time goes by and the next in the series is released.
I predict the mintage to slightly increase again on the next in the series perhaps the 2oz to 3750/4000 and the gold to 360/410

IMHO you know its not a 70 grade coin, and most of these would have NCS already im sure but with a raw coin you could take the gamble and get a 70. I dont think there is going to be as much an uplift with these compared to the unas especially with all the 70 grade coins coming out of NGC atm. I wouldn't be surprised if these are selling for sub 1500 in a couple of months.

Yes, we have had a last minute entry! Lowest start price I've seen of just £8500 - (Most ebay coins advertised at £11k+)
Hope to see some Silver Forum Members there tomorrow!
This last minute entries are common for our auction lol!
Regards
Louise
PS Where are you auctioning yours Andrew?? Pray tell?

How which exposure does sovereign rarities have to to the global market and what sort of prices have unas realised in their sales before? If they have a similar size/bigger client base than coin cabinet I’d expect £70k + for the una.
it makes sense them keeping the estimate on the low side so they can exceed the estimate, entice more buyers in and exceed sellers expectations.

Far east buyers prefer to buy PCGS where possible and will pay a premium to get the same grade coin in PCGS slab, ive been told by a couple of sources dealing in higher than average priced coins

If most people that wanted to sell held these the price would push up but realistically I can’t see the majority of these graded ones being held by the initial buyers.
Sit back and enjoy the coin is my advice and wait for the next one to be released.

It’s silly people even ask them what a coin may grade really, god knows why they would even suggest a minimum grade and that would be in their eyes only. Once people start mentioning grades to royal mint they will be more likely to switch to graded coins. Personally if any coins I have are marked and I bring it up I focus on the marks and never mention grading as that’s my choice and they shouldn’t have to give guarantees or thoughts on grades.
