Nothing special just a little junk silver, 36.85g with 24.6g of silver content for only £10.26 delivered so not bad, I paid a little more than what I should of for the threepences but I needed those dates for a date run.
i just love the design on the thrupence [and silver sixpences ] with those acorns.

i am immediately drawn to the gold. Looking at the number of likes for this photograph, i can see many other forum members are attracted too.
This week i bought the Gold Eagle Heisenberg was selling and a couple of $20 Liberties from Hatton Garden Metals. I will have to put these up when they arrive.

i didn't buy these today but i ordered the little gems (in the making) very recently.
I supplied my own silver coins - 5 x milky coins for the two hearts and then got the Baby Dragon to boot!
Tremendous work - not complete as they need polishing and stamping but tremendous work from Backyard Bullion.

@sixgun didn't Johnson Matthey sell their refineries to Asahi of Japan? Or they bought Asahi?
Found it, asahi bought out Johnson
Johnson Matthey bars are a collectors' item in the making. i see dealers advertising them and when you look more closely most are 'out of stock'.

You quite often see that one in a 2 coin set with the Alderney, which is a very nice looking proof.
Yes i was just looking around to get some info. It was a bit of a lucky dip, which is HGM all over. I saw Chards had the set you mention and then i didn't feel so bad.

Can't say I'm keen on the designs, they seem very cartoon/juvenile for my taste.
Yes some people do think they are somewhat cartoonish. I have the same from Andy and i agree i prefer that design.
i showed the coin from Lucky just now to someone and they loved it. "Really cute" - they are both collectibles and very limited mintages.

The stack looks short - it looks like something is wrong but as i posted the lowest acceptable weight is 31.01g so all the coins are within the accepted range of weights.
The coin shown looks right enough.
I suspect most people don't have such a stack of gold Britannias to compare. Get them in capsules to protect them and enjoy.

It says here
https://www.thegazette.co.uk/notice/L-60304-1693452
(a) a variation from the said standard weight of an amount per coin of 0.100 grammes;
(4) The least current weight of the said gold coin shall be 31.010 grammes.

Put some high quality photos of the coins up.
How do you know your scale is correct?

It is Options Expiry tomorrow - OPEX. The price at which the Cartel make profit is sub $1200 - this is why we saw a smack down in the paper price today.

i spotted this 1kg Lunar Snake on Atkinsons. It was a lucky dip and i think i got lucky.
Speaking of Lucky i bought a 2016 Shenyang Mint 120th Anniversary Panda 500g silver medal from him.
I know another member bought one in the past and posted it here but i was a little surprised that others weren't more interested when for example none other than NGC gave it a glowing writeup.

The detail is fantastic and i feel sure will become a significant Panda collector's holding in future years.

Hovering around £1000 per today - good start to the week
The US market is closed today so usually there wouldn't be much net movement.
If price gets above $1200 and stays there, the large physical buyers will move their bids up and lock in this step up. We can expect this to be defended.
i see the thread says £ only. Gold is an international currency (it is traded as a currency of the FX markets).
Gold is going up in GBP terms b/c the GBP is falling against the USD.

There was a 2002 sovereign hanging around at Atkinson's for some time. i already had one so didn't do more than simply notice. i am wondering if this is the sovereign.

The gold Krugerrand is usually seen as a basic gold bullion coin but i think the proof is a bit special.
