🇬🇧🐘🇮🇳 British India 1 Mohur 1862-C (Calcutta) – Victoria – NGC MS61
A rare and desirable gold issue from British India minted at Calcutta in the year of 1862 in the fledgling years of the British Raj.
Features arguably one of the most elegant busts of Queen Victoria, 'Empress of India,' as engraved by famed Royal Mint engraver William Wyon.
Produced to a conservative mintage of 153,000 but with comparatively few surviving examples, and less so in such condition as the example offered here. This piece is slabbed and graded by NGC at MS61 and boasts a gentle lustre and few surface distractions on the obverse and reverse alike.

12x 1oz Pieces. Bit grimey from playing with, apparently can be lightly cleaned with baking soda just to save wear and tear as you play around with them. Never bothered me. Great onf for the Lego fans especially if the extra heft gonna come in handy, like a battering ram!
