Kussilver got a reaction from monkey in My last piece of silver for a year!
Hi, 365. Definitely a good idea to get an emergency fund and concentrate on clearing debts, good luck this year. I find buying metals a little addictive it will be interesting to see how you progress and if you can resist the urge to buy.
My offering. East India company 1 oz silver proof three graces and 2 x Thalers. £97.50 delivered via RMSD
Cheers Kuss

Kussilver reacted to Paul in Are we going to see smaller gold coins rise in popularity?
We are a funny bunch us stackers.
We were still moaning and groaning spot should be so much higher when it was £800z not so many years back
Why weren't we selling the family silver to stock up on gold if we knew it was going to double in next 6-7 years
Now I'm a good decade and half into this stacking experiment I now come to realise most folk are only ever on "now o'clock"
I will still be buying, these prices now as just "the new normal" ultimately, I'm converting depreciating fiat into gold
net results, i will have an increased holding of gold. than I did last month
Spot can do what it likes, it will only be relevant when it comes to time I choose to cash out in my twilight years, in 20+ years time
If the steady uptrend in gold continues & unlimited fiat printed funny money printed we should be around the £10,000oz by then (hopefully)

Kussilver reacted to Anteater in 1/4oz Gold Perth Mint 35th Anniversary Proof Nugget with COA - £430 inc RMSD
Let's try this one again - I think this has to be a pretty good deal now. Photos are from March - coin is in storage but I can take some new ones tomorrow if a buyer wants me to.
A 1/4oz Gold (9999) 35th Anniversary Proof Nugget with COA. This is a pretty coin with partial rose gold gilding and with a max mintage of 300, but I've decided to be boring with respect to my gold stack. I've never had it out of the capsule and I don't imagine previous owners have either, but I can't guarantee that. I can't see any marks on the coin itself so I'm selling this as is in new proof condition - please forgive the intensely mediocre photos! (The capsule also looks pretty clean in person, but not perfect.) Can you really call yourself a member of this forum if you haven't owned one of these at some point?
Bought from an established member here late last year. Offered for £430 inc RMSD.
For dispatch within three (probably one or two) working days.
UK only, bank transfer only. I will consider sending the coin before payment for well established members (at my discretion but think 50+ feedback, active on the forum beyond just trading, account at least a year old). I will also consider using BYB's intermediary service but all additional costs at buyer's expense.
Will consider trade for 2021 and after 1/4oz Gold Brit in good condition, with a little cash your way.

To weigh in a little on the feedback questions and the leaving of feedback by sellers.
Buyers feedback vs sellers feedback
The premise of buying a bunch of items to increase your feedback is somewhat of a misleading metric.
I personally don't hold much stock in someone that has ONLY buyers feedback. They have no feedback on selling so I would treat them as a zero.
In fact, I would personally be very behind splitting the feedback numbers on this forum into buying and selling feedback to help differentiate for prospective buyers.
I get it when buyers don't get feedback it can be annoying or frustrating, but let's be honest - it doesn't really make much of a difference to the real matter which is sellers feedback built up over a long period of time.
Just to finish off this post, I don't mean it in a confrontational way to buyers but simply to remind that leaving feedback for the seller is in my opinion way more important that leaving feedback to a buyer.

Only actually read this thread for the first time this morning and delighted to see a happy ending.
Although I'm not the most active or vocal on the forum, I've been here a while, and must admit I'd have been devastated/furious had this happened to me. It was nice to see the OP handle it with dignity and a calm head, and the forum help to get it sorted.
I've said it before, but this forum is the best fiver I spend a month!

Kussilver reacted to BackyardBullion in Silver/cash donations for a central "scammer victim" pool
Hey all
As you may or may not be aware there was/is a situation where some members are out of pocket £100's to a rouge seller.
I am organising a donation pool to be split up evenly as a percentage of total losses per individual.
If you would like to dontate any silver to be forwarded onto the victims or donate cash to contribute please get in touch.
Please message me for the address to send any donations.
If you are one of the victims of this recent issue please get in touch via direct message and we can get all your details so we can get your "claim" processed and logged against this pool.
I know a lot of people here feel very strongly about the sense of community we all have and I know there are a lot that want to help in whatever small way they can.
Thanks all

Really sorry this had happened to you.
Should you not be able to get your money back I would like to offer a few bits of silver as a gesture. Its not much as I don't stack silver but a couple of nice poured pieces, some fractional proofs, a proof 1937 crown and a lonely brit. Let me have your address on pm once you know and I will get it posted to you. Its an eclectic mix but a couple of interesting pieces

I almost bought these tubes! This could of happened to anyone. The person has been a member for a long time and also had a number of positive feedback. Drop me your address if things don’t get sorted and I will send you a couple of bits from my stack. Be a shame for you to completely quit stacking after one bad experience. It’s all about living & learning and the fact that you are even looking into precious metals shows that you want to better your future, so don’t give up now mate

I've contacted the Fraud Action team (for all the good that will do!) and will call my bank tomorrow (apparently the fraud team only works 8am-8pm)
Will let you know of any updates. Am assuming its a foregone conclusion but guess i will know for sure once i've spoken to the bank
Thanks again everyone, really appreciate it

Exactly this mate. Why indeed?
Most of the volume buyers on the forum are the same as the volume sellers - different steps on the same reseller ladder. The end user stackers are those who buy conservative amounts and never sell
It's mega undervalued but not as much as silver 😁
I think we're in danger of blowing through resistance and setting a real price for gold closer to $3000 than $2000. Should we be happy? No. The regular people will get burnt alive when this makes the front pages
Consider this. Most of us are pretty stupid but the gen pop and the younger folks are even stupider still. Of those utter muppets, 10% or more in the UK own crypto, in some demographics it's much higher than that. There's a similar story in the USA, 10%+ own some crypto. Compare that to physical gold and silver. The USA is a fraction over 1% and the UK is slightly lower than that, perhaps even less than 1% own physical. What happens to the price of gold and silver if this becomes a mainstream saga? We're going to airmail ATHs and we'll do so by such a margin (an order of magnitude) that we'll never get back there. Oh great you sold at the ATH, congrats, now try and buy it back again
Everybody is excited in here today and the buy/sell is on fire, there's so much going on it's impossible to keep pace. Here's some figures though to contextualise the "real ATH":
Let's assume those charts and the 'Fast Fact' (which are from different sources) have descriptive and predictive power. It seems to line up nicely, right? We're about 2/3rds off the real ATH adjusted for CPI and during the last Great Depression gold went up by 2/3rds. Hmm. Might we be entering an Even Greater Depression? I honestly believe we are, at least for the masses and the ordinary person. The rich are set but us plebs are being roasted alive while our governments and financial systems drown in unsustainable levels of debt, debt that can only be managed by inflation, war or both
Taking some profit is never a bad idea and for those selling gold, congratulations if you have booked a profit. Truly though gold is only for buying, not for selling unless your hand is forced. We get excited about nominal ATHs, daily, weekly or monthly chart movements but we need to keep an eye on the big picture which screams unequivocally that gold and silver are hugely undervalued
Sorry for the TL:DR, lots of interesting comments in this thread today. Anyway, I don't believe we're at an ATH. Economics is not absolute, it's relative, and relatively speaking (aka in REAL terms), we're miles away from the ATH, a minimum +25% if not +67% from today's price. Saying gold is at an ATH is like saying wages are at an ATH. That might be true in nominal terms but in the terms that matter - REAL terms - the average person in this country can't remember a time they were this poor.
